Right across the street is the Malecón, which has security, and transportation can easily pick you up or drop you off at the entrance, making it safer. The hotel has been there for many years and, as I was told, is currently undergoing renovations. The room I stayed in had not yet been renovated, but it was still spacious, comfortable, and perfectly fine for a stay. We booked three bedrooms as a family. The hotel has very old and out dated furniture and amenities. Room pillows, sheets and towels are extremely old! They were ripping apart. Even with all of this the hotel reception had the audacity of accusing us of taking their towels. Horrible customer service! The cleanliness has a lot to be desired. Bathrooms lacked soap, shampoo or conditioner as well. The only good thing about this hotel was the doorman. Excellent person!
