Peace and quiet far away from anything busy combined with high-end living. This newer and spacious cabin is located on a secluded lot inside the exclusive community of Hidden Meadow Ranch, the most prestigious private ranch community of the White Mountains of Arizona. The lot overlooks a lake and lush green mountains and borders millions of acres of beautiful national forest land full of wildlife, pine trees and crisp clean air. The area is so secluded that it is common to see elk and other wildlife feeding in the meadow or swimming in the pond on an early morning. The tap water in the cabin comes from a community well and is BETTER than bottled water! This cabin has all of the luxury amenities expected with a high-end home yet is casual enough to accommodate large families with children. This is simply the most gorgeous land in all of Arizona and you will not be disappointed! Although the cabin is located within Hidden Meadow Ranch, community amenities including access to horses and fishing is reserved for members only and not available for guests of members. As mentioned above, the cabin was built and designed to accommodate the owner's large family, but we limit the amount of guests to 15 total. The cabin is two stories with two bedrooms upstairs (along with a large loft / game room) and 3 bedrooms downstairs including the Master Bedroom. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are plenty large. Each bedroom has a queen sized foam mattress under the bed which could easily accommodate young children sleeping on the floor if needed. Each of the bedrooms has its own private bathroom. The first floor of the cabin also includes a spacious kitchen, dining room and living area. There is also a half bathroom, computer area and a laundry room. The living room / dining room has excellent window views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The cabin also has a two-car garage and other cemented areas for multiple cars. As seen in the photos, there is a large play area for children with multiple swings and a large Ramada. The Ramada is owned with the adjoining property owner and can be rented for $30/day extra. The Ramada has a 2 BBQ grills, an outdoor sink and has more than enough room to seat everyone. This is perfect for outdoor eating during the summer months. The Ramada is not available during the winter months. The property sits next to a pond which provides an amazing view. As mentioned above, the pond is private and not available for fishing or other uses. However, there are several public fishing options in the general Greer area including Canero lake which is only a few miles away. The cabin is ONLY 15 miles (30 min drive) from the turn-off to Sunrise Ski Resort on highway 260\. Everyone wants to BBQ but it is restricted and the seating is outdated and damaged. Most of the kitchen utensils and pot/spans are in poor condition making cooking hard to enjoy for a large group for which this stay can accommodate. Several things are in need of repair and for the rate should be in working order. My family and I stayed here for a weekend in August and we highly recommend it. The cabin is luxurious and beautifully furnished. The pictures reflect the property well - I would only add that the bedrooms are actually larger than they look in the photos. (Every bedroom is like a master.) We had teenagers along who really enjoyed the archery, BB gun shooting and fishing. There is also plenty of fun for younger children – swings, crafts, and canoeing. With horseback riding, hiking and mountain bike trails nearby, everyone found fun activities through the resort. The view of the lake from the back porch is fantastic. We sat on the deck and watched the eagles and hawks fishing! Deer bedded down in the backyard at night. This is the best cabin in an already exclusive and secluded resort. The scenery is breathtaking, peaceful, and serene. There are plenty of activities but also plenty of opportunity to relax and refresh in a mountainous paradise. We are a group of four families, 8 adults and 6 girls (age ranges from 9 to 15). We rented this house for our ski trip to Sunrise Ski Park during Christmas time. The house totally exceeded our expectation and we enjoyed every moment we spent inside it. The room is spacious, luxurious, and even more beautiful and comfortable than the pictures shown. Our girls played Wii, ping-pong and pool on the second floor, and the moms cooked in the kitchen on the first floor. The kitchen is full of cooking utensils which can accommodate at least 12 peoples, we even found a slower cooker in one of the drawers! The cabin is warm and feels like a home. If you plan to come during winter time, be prepared for the unpaved 7 miles county road 1325, you will need to drive slowly and carefully since the road might be icy and has several sharp turns to Hidden Meadow Ranch. The huge dining table was awesome. The setting was amazing. Tranquil. Be prepared for 20+ minutes of rough gravel driving from the highway to the cabin. Once there, it is beautiful - yet limiting to stay just in the cabin on property. No trail access or walking on the street. In contrast to other reviews, we found the kitchen to be well stocked with utensils, equipment, & appliances (pleasant surprise). The kitchen needed more organization and cleaning before our arriving (mainly the cupboards). The cabin was primarily clean - especially the bathrooms. The ramada grills were old & had two heat settings: ON & OFF. Thankful grilling was available. A couple mechanical issues came up during the stay that we reported to the owner. The fireplace in the living room did not work. We were asked to google the instructions, which was time consuming. We concluded the remote box was inactive. The washing machine, too, stopped working. When we contacted the owner/manager, he apologized that he hadn't replaced it before our stay, knowing it was not working. Unfortunately, our clothes were locked inside in much water. After googling how to clear the error code, we retrieved our clothes, wrung them out & bailed water from the washer. Given the remoteness of the cabin, not much the owner can do with issues arising. There's an HOA, which limits usage of the amenities, but that's made clear prior to booking so you know what you can/can't do.
