When you discover Jenolan Caves, Mayfield Garden, and Japanese Bath House are just at the doorstep, you will find it hard to fit everything into one trip. So, make it more trips. You are always welcome to make our farmhouse your home away from home.
Sumptuous accommodation for up to a maximum of 12 people, including adults and children. Well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances and butler's pantry, spacious open-plan living and dining areas, and 2 generous bathrooms. A foosball table, board games, TV with streaming, and WiFi will keep all entertained. Relax around the outdoor fire pit toasting marshmallows and star gazing, or cozy by the indoor wood burner with a book. Meet our flock of sheep, miniature goats, and chooks.
Guests have full access to the upper paddock, gardens, driveway, and parking bays around the homestead (~3.5 acres). The machinery shed remains locked for security. Guests can enjoy scenic views over the dams and lower paddock. Guests can meet and feed our sheep, dwarf goats, and chooks from outside their enclosures which remain locked for animal security. However 'Bert' the goat roams the entire property freely and loves meeting guests, being hand fed, cuddled, and patted! He will keep children (and grown-ups) entertained for hours! Just be careful that he doesn't follow you out of the driveway!
Guests, please note that this is a rural property with grounds and gardens under development. There are areas of uneven terrain that require some caution especially with children running around or in the dark. There is an orchard being planted adjacent to the homestead with deep planting holes excavated and yet to be filled.
Guests can send an email or contact the host via mobile during their stay between 8am to 6pm every day.
The base room rate covers up to 6 people. For additional guest over 6, there will be an extra guest fee at $75 per day per person.
Here is some extra info about our property:
Wood heaters & firewood There is one combustion wood heater in the living area. There are fire starters as well as matches next to the fireplace. There are logs to the right of the entrance to the house. Please take extra care when using the fireplace. It is important to ensure that the fireplace door is completely closed before you go to bed.We provide enough firewood to get you going. Feel free to collect dry fallen wood off the property or buy additional firewood from the service center.
We normally supply complimentary firewoods during the winter months from June to August to our guests. However, our firewoods are not retailed woods. We bought them from the local logging companies with wholesale price. They normally won’t start supplying the woods before June. You are welcome to consider buying a small amount of retailed firewoods from a nearby petrol station outdide of June-August winter periods. One bag of woods is usually $25.
Heaters There are three options for heating. We have a log burner in the lounge and reverse-cycle air conditioning/heating. We have also provided oil column heaters in each bedroom. To conserve energy and efficient heating, please keep the doors closed and turn off when not in use.
Air-conditioning The split air-conditioning system can generate both heat and cooling in the lounge and kitchen area. There are ceiling fans in most of the bedrooms.
Coffee The house comes with a Nespresso Essenza Mini Capsule Coffee Machine with Milk Frother. You may choose to bring your own standard Nespresso-compatible capsules. Please ensure you clean the machine after use. Some instant coffee, tea bags, sugar, and milk will be provided for guest use.
Security For security reason, we have installed security cameras outside of our house.
Goat / Sheep If you choose to feed Bertie the goat, please ensure it is only wheat bix, grass, or hay. The goat is not allowed food scraps. She is well-fed but has a delicate stomach. The sheep also love wheat bix.
Tank water & Septic system The house operates on tank water and a septic system. This means that the water is collected off the roof and shed and stored in a water tank. When you turn a tap on, a pump starts and pumps the water through. If we have a power outage the water won’t run. The septic system is a disbursement system and will only handle toilet paper and human waste. Nothing else is to be flushed, in particular female hygiene products as they won’t dissolve and the system can get blocked up and overflow which will never be a nice country experience.
Local wildlife Please be mindful that we are in the country so there are bugs and critters outside and they occasionally come for a wander inside. It is very rare but if you sight a snake or an animal you’re unsure of please message us immediately; do not attempt to remove or touch a snake or animal you’re unsure of.
When driving at dusk or dawn we have kangaroos, wallabies, wallaroos, wombats, and other beautiful native wildlife crossing the road. At that time of the day/night, it is a little harder to see too so please be careful when driving. We occasionally have the odd horse or cattle out on an excursion from their paddocks to watch out for as well. If you have any concerns regarding any animals just message us.

We turned up and were given the wrong code. This was corrected in about 10 mins. The host was very apologetic and would look into the error. The property is very nice with a beautiful backdrop of the mountains. Very quite location - perfect. Very good sized home with king size bunk beds and queen beds. Large 12 seater dining tables (indoors and outdoors) - great for entertaining. Two family indoor seating areas which was great for the kids and adults! The animals were a hit with the kids. Bring a box of weetbix as they loved it and wanted more! The local kangaroos visited daily. Lots of space to explore the property and play outdoor games. The fire pit and indoor woodfire heater added to the experience, especially with the cold weather .Overall a great place to stay for 2-3 nights if you don't want to leave the property. We will be back.
The house was very clean and well-kept inside. It is a great house for 2 family’s like we had. The kids loved the goats, sheep, kangaroos and the tree swing. The views were stunning and we enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the fire pit at sunset. We were also lucky enough to take a short drive to Oberon and see some snow!
We (2 families of 5) stayed at the property for 4 days. The house perfectly suited our families with young children with lots of farm animals around and plenty of space for the kids to have fun. The house is located on a picturesqe spot looking back at the Blue Mountains. The house was clean and well maintained.

We stayed at this property for a couple of nights and overall it was a very poor experience. We arrived on a very wet and cold Friday evening and found no firewood left at the property as advertised for the winter months. On top of that the air con wasn't working properly so the house was really cold. We then decided to use the barbecue as we didn't fancy going out driving on such a wet evening. The BBQ was filthy and would barely ignite. Definitely needs replacing! We proceeded with cleaning the BBQ ourselves and started cooking only for the gas ran out after five minutes. We tried to contact property managers but heard nothing back. My partner then drove an hour round trip to replace the gas and get firewood to heat the house. The hosts did get back in touch to say there was a spare gas bottle in shed after a couple of hours. To top the evening off our young kids found the deceased carcase of what we can only presume was the pet goat 'bert' in front of the house. The youger ones were horrified by this. We let the property managers know about this and how much it upset our kids but it barely garnered a response. Its a nice house but overall we had a really bad experience. The property managers are terrible, possibly the worst we have ever booked with.
