However, I have always wanted to see the eastern side so we picked this cottage for our anniversary trip and we were NOT disappointed. The cottage was very nice, clean and close to trails for side by side riding. We enjoyed the wildlife too.We also ventured over to Drummond Island. It was very close to the cottage and we did some freighter watching on the St Mary's river from Detour. If you’re looking for a cozy, CLEAN place to stay, this is it! The host’s obviously take great pride in their place. It is well taken care of, good communication, easy check in, the kitchen has everything you would need, comfortable bed, and the shower was great! (The water was good! ….rinsed right off, didn’t smell like a well like a lot of places we’ve stayed at in the U.P.) There is a tavern with decent food close by and only 1/2 hour drive to cedarville, Hessel area. 12 min to De Tour village.
