This property was highly rated and the pictures of the rooms looked great. However, once we arrived and got to our room we were quite disappointed. The bedspread and sofa had stains on them and the room was quite cold throughout the night. there was the added bonus of a window air conditioner sitting on the floor of the sitting room area. The cable tv was also out and when brought to the attention of the inn keeper the following morning she said oh yeah, sorry about that. This is something that could’ve been told to us prior to us checking in. We didn’t see anybody until the morning we left. We have been to many bed-and-breakfasts and were disappointed with the breakfast offerings. The food was not hot, and the biscuits appeared to be from Pillsberry. You can’t beat Tillie Pierce House for location. I love staying in a historic house and this one is completely original other than the added bathrooms. I have stayed in the Elizabeth Thorn room three times now and theTillie Pierce room once. I will warn you it is very noisy because of the traffic going by, but I always travel with my white noise machine, so it’s not a problem.
