"Martine was very welcoming and we had a lovely overnight stay at her B&B which had everything we needed. Mons itself had plenty to offer and I’m sure is beautiful most of the time unfortunately they were doing some serious maintenance while we were there and there was lots of the roads dug up. "

"Sceptical when I heard "Manoir" was expecting something old. It is up to date, clean, very spacious. The free parking was a must because we got there by car. Early check-in I think it was at 10 am but was ok for us because we where going to Brussels for a day. We enjoyed the pool which was a Must. Overall we liked our stay there even though it was just for a night."

"Very nice hotel and lovely, quiet room. All very modern and clean. Beds are big and comfortable. Free bottle of water in the room, but no fridge or tea/coffee making facilities. We did receive a voucher for a coffee/tea from the bar downstairs, which was a nice alternative. It was a proper coffee from a barista machine! There’s a large hotel car park with plenty of parking. We did not eat breakfast, but it looked nice and plentiful. Great hotel and stay!"

Beware of Parties

"The Gite itself was very comfortable, well equipped and clean. Plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. However there was a party on the Friday night and a wedding on the Saturday, very loud music until 2.30am on both nights, the fire alarm went off at 2am (no one batted an eye lid or checked on the gite). The Gite is centred around a lovely courtyard and has patio doors out to a patio with garden furniture. The main entrance for the events is through the courtyard so all partygoers gathered in the courtyard and round the back of the Gite, using the furniture and patio right outside the doors and windows. There were also party games set up on the lawn area at the back of the Gite meaning you could not sit out and enjoy the outdoor space. If we had known there were these events on we would definitely not have booked to stay at this location. It was a shame as when there were no parties it was a lovely place! Perhaps check with the venue before booking. "
