About this property
Übersee - quiet guest apartment with terrace & clay plaster in Himmelpfort
The Übersee guest apartment is quiet. Quiet in a different way.
Not just “it happens to be quiet right now”—but that deep, pleasant calm that lingers. It’s a bit more minimalist than the other guest apartment in the granary, but noticeably crisp. Plenty of space, plenty of light—and walls made of clay plaster that create a unique indoor atmosphere.
Anyone who’s ever slept there knows exactly what we mean.
The apartment has three separate bedrooms. One of them has a sleeper sofa.
There’s also an open living area that isn’t cluttered but deliberately leaves space—for thoughts, conversations, or simply doing nothing.
The kitchen is fully equipped—everything you need to cook for yourself. Simple, functional, and no frills. Refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, stove, and oven. Cooking works just as well here as “just grabbing a quick coffee and heading out.”
The bathroom is high-quality and cleanly designed—no frills, just a space where you’ll enjoy spending time in the bathtub or under the rainforest shower.
The walls are plastered with clay. This ensures a pleasant, balanced indoor climate—cool in the summer and warm in the winter. No dry, heated air, no stuffy feeling. Just breathe easily.
A real highlight is your own terrace. Coffee in the sun in the morning, coffee and a good book from our Salzmann library in the afternoon, and a glass of wine in the quiet of the evening. You don’t have to go anywhere—you’re already outside. No TV. On purpose. Instead, a library with 5,000 books, Wi-Fi, peace and quiet, nature, and the things that often get neglected.
In just a few minutes, you’re at the lake or deep in the woods. Himmelpfort is clear, peaceful, and far away from the hustle and bustle—that’s exactly why most people come back. If you’d like, you can also use the relaxation room in the house or retreat to the Salzmann Library to read. Or work remotely at one of the countless workstations.
And for those who don’t want to take care of breakfast themselves in the morning: breakfast can be booked as an add-on. The Kornspeicher is an old building full of character. It’s not a generic hotel—it’s a place steeped in history.
The accommodations are not wheelchair accessible.
The building also features another, smaller vacation apartment as well as seven guest rooms.
