Relax in the quiet of the woods on the covered porch and hear the sounds of babbling creek. Step inside and you are greeted by warmth and comfort. The Living Room has a Sleeper Sofa, Wood Stove, Smart TV with streaming services, Board Games, and Books. You will find the Kitchen fully equipped. One Bathroom with a Clawfoot Tub and Shower. Large Loft bedroom with one Queen Bed and Twin. WiFi is provided. A window air conditioner and window fan are installed in the summer months, even though the cabin usually stays at a comfortable temperature. The cabin also has an outdoor fire pit (wood provided) and charcoal grill for your enjoyment. Alpha’s Log Cabin is located five miles from the Historic Town of Franklin. In the area you will find hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, spelunking, rock climbing and golfing Attractions within the county include Pike Knob, Nelson Sods, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob (highest point in WV) Nelson Rocks (Nation's Premiere Via Ferrata, outdoor zip lines) Smoke Holes, Yokum’s Stables (horseback ride to top of Seneca rocks) Warners Drive Inn and Swilled Dog Cidery. We stayed in this cabin for a second time, our first time traveling outside of winter, and the AC was able to keep the cabin cool on hot days.There is a lot to do in the area; Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob (Where the milky way is faintly visible at night, \*very\* visible with long-exposure), Solly Sods, the Fire Lookout Tower on Route 33, all within an hour drive.If you're thinking about booking this cabin, you won't regret your decision. We stayed two nights while climbing Nelson Rocks and wish we had stayed longer. Thanks so much for your hospitality...if I owned a cabin like that, I'd never leave! ##### Julie H. It’s rustic and beautiful. If you’re looking for peace and serenity, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back when the leaves are on the trees. The stream that runs beside the cabin is just perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting. There were fresh flowers, home baked cookies and homemade jelly waiting on the table for us when we arrived. The cabin is clean and cozy.
