Turning on the AC did not alleviate the odor. I should’ve asked for a different room but it was late and I hope for better the next morning. Instead I started to get lightheaded, dizzy with head congestion. I thought I was coming down with sickness so I went to bed early. The neat morning, the toilet did not flush properly. I called to have it repaired or switch me to a different room. Someone came to “repair” it. But when I returned later in the day, the toilet still didn’t flush. So I called the desk to ask to switch to a different room. I was given a room on the same floor and was able to transfer my things easily enough. The new room had better air quality and symptoms I felt in the first room had improved. I went to bed for the night, but was awakened by a loud party in the next room. By 3:30A I resigned to a sleepless night. STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Unclean, unsafe, and illegal practices! The room was musty, the towel holder fell off the wall onto my unshoed foot, the person in the room next to me was puking violently all night and into the morning. The outlets were unsafe and made all my chargers hot. I got stuck in the elevator twice due to the doors not opening. They were informed, but the manager did not contact anyone about it, did not put an out of order sign up, and still allowed people to use it. This is in direct violation of multiple Indiana building code laws! The place is dirty and the staff are not helpful. They only had 1 wheelchair van access isle that was taken so I was told to park in back in a spot by the fire lane so i wouldn't be blocked in. Someone parked in the fire lane illegally making it impossible to get into my wheelchair accessible van the next morning. The front desk lady "didn't know what to do about it". The cops were called on the second day due to a domestic. Due to the safety issues, I did not feel comfortable staying a second night as a wheelchair user on the 3rd floor with a non-functional elevator, police being called and being a single, disabled female traveler. Everything was as expected. I stayed for 1 night after having surgery. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great. Only complaint i guess i had was that the toilet was so low to the ground in a handicap bathroom. Staff was courtesy the room needed cobwebs removed from the ceiling over the bed. We were in room 101 the back door was slamming shut clear up to midnight about every 15 minutes.
