Un site hors du temps, une vue sur le Loch Ness qu'on ne peut pas oublier. Ancienne abbaye fabuleuse, intérieur accessible seulement aux résidents. Propriété très bien entretenue, avec un parc qui se termine sur les rives du Loch Ness. Un restaurant de bonne qualité jouxte la propriété, le long de la berge. Propriétaire multilingue, qui a pu nous renseigner par mail avec précision. La résidence offre des activités familiales (tennis, petite piscine couverte, cricket, balançoires, ping pong, badminton, échecs géants dans le cloître, billard...). Village très proche, au bout du parc (Fort Augustus), avec ses écluses, ses boutiques et resto (pour touristes...), son canal calédonien (très agréable pour faire du jogging). Appartement très grand, très agréable, ensoleillé (quand il y a du soleil...), tout équipé (mais peu de vaisselles). Aucun bruit, vu sur le cloître. Site bien placé pour visiter l'Ecosse (compter jusqu'à 2h30 de route aller simple pour voir des superbe sites) ou rester autour du Loch Ness. Un excellent cheese cake à 15 minutes en voiture de la propriété (Glen Rowan cafe, by Loch Ness, skye road, Invermoriston IV637YA) ##### Pierre J. The apartment is spacious and beautiful, the kitchen could be better equipped, but that was really just a small blemish. Fort Augustus was the ideal location for trips round Loch Ness and further north. The Abbey itself is very atmospheric and just a great place to stay and enjoy the surroundings. The building in which it is located is spectacular with a long history and has been converted very tastefully to flats. The ground are also great to explore. The location is ideal to explore the Great Glen area, with Inverness and Fort William both within easy driving distance. The historic building has loads of character with lots of things for a family to do. Snooker and table tennis was a hit with both our kids and we enjoyed the pool and sauna. Fort Augustus is a jewel of a location on the edge of Loch Ness with walking around the Loch or along the canal and lots of pubs for eating and drinking. Overall thoroughly recommend. ##### Chris H. Die Wohnung an sich sind sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Zusatzaktivitäten, wie Pingpong, Tennis, Billiard, usw. runden das ganze Bild ab und machen es zu einem Ort den man nicht so schnell vergisst. Ein Geheimtipp von uns: das nahegelegene Restaurant Boatshouse ist sensationell und nur zu empfehlen. Im Grossen und Ganzen würde ich hier nochmals eine Woche wohnen. We loved the modern comfortable apartment within the lovely old abbey environment. The grounds are beautiful and the amenities fantastic. Nice to have a grocery store within walking distance for cooking in the apartment's well equipped kitchen. The stained glass windows and view of the abbey courtyard were a bonus. The swimming pool, steam room, playground, and large chess set in a historic abbey on the banks of the Loch Ness was perfect for our family. We traveled with a 2 year old and an infant and felt like we were in a resort that was made for our family. We stayed here for a week but felt like we could have been here longer. I'd recommend this place to ANYONE who wanted to explore the Highlands from a central location. ##### Ross J. The abbey was such a fun place to stay. It had amazing views of Loch Ness, and Fort Augustus is a beautiful village. The Boathouse restaurant by the abbey was also delicious and conveniently located. We stayed here with four adults, and the flat had everything we needed. Someone met us at check-in to show us around the abbey and to our flat; everything was very smooth. We loved our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to Inverness. ##### Katie P. Found just the right combination of relaxation and adventure, with hikes and a drive to the Isle of Skye. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed for two adults and twin 10 year olds.
