The original staircase has been retained and refinished, showing the patina and warmth that only aged wood provides. A covered patio that looks out over the 35 acres is ideal for outdoor dining and relaxing. This home features a large eat-in kitchen- a favorite place for families to cook and enjoy the camaraderie. There is one bedroom and a bath on the first floor; there are 3 bedrooms and a full bath plus a half bath on the second floor. Three rental homes share the 35-acre well-maintained grounds. There is a scenic pond and a fire pit that is shared - build a fire and swap baseball philosophies under the peaceful stars. It was close to all the attractions making it easy to get around with a toddler and working around his nap schedule. He loved roaming the property to look at the tractors and chickens. We were able to have a nice fire when his Aunt & Uncle stopped to visit. We had a hiccup with the keypad when we got there but the hosts brother was able to rectify it within 30 minutes of checking in. We were able to recommend a solution to the hosts if it happens again since we have the same keypad. The hosts were very friendly family oriented and very responsive when we needed it. The host family were amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed and answered all of our questions. Mornings and evenings, we saw deer, turkeys, and rabbits! The guys went fishing on the small pond. The kids ran around playing wiffle ball. The wives sat around the fire pit. The water stayed hot for all of us to take showers (that’s important) and there was enough space for everyone to hang out in the living room and dining area.
