Estremoz Vacation Packages

This is something that happened firsthand to a friend who is traveling with me in Lisbon. She asked me to share this story with others. Having passed the age of fifty, there are many people I am grateful to, but never before have I experienced something as unforgettable as what happened today. Upon arriving at the hotel to check in, I discovered that my backpack had been opened and several items stolen: my jacket, along with my passport—which had been in the pocket—€600 in cash, and a credit card. Hazel immediately stepped in to help; she accompanied me to the police station to file a report and arranged for the manager of the CORPO SANTO HOTEL to assist me with the procedures for my lost passport at the embassy. They went above and beyond, contributing both their time and their own resources. In a foreign land, I cannot imagine how I would have managed—or even taken a single step forward—without their support. No words of gratitude could possibly suffice; the help and warmth I received when I was at my most helpless meant the world to me. I am so fortunate to have met Hazel and the manager of the CORPO SANTO HOTEL. Thank you both so much for your selfless assistance—thank you!

This is absolutely a 5 star hotel in every respect. Everything is lovely, the rooms are fantastic and include every amenity you could hope for. Further, the location could not be better. The neighborhood has many fine restaurants, markets, pharmacies, and is close to the city center with fine shops and more. So, after being so positive, why did I only give it 4 stars (first thought was 3). It's because of several glitches we would not have expected. First, on our second day housekeeping came by early wanting to clean the room. We said we would be leaving soon and to please come back. This was around 9:45 am. We spent the day out and about and returned at 3:45 pm. The room had not been cleaned. The manager apologized, and got the room cleaned as soon as possible (30-40 minutes). Second, was our check in. We arrived in Lisbon from a cruise and needed to disembark at 9:30 am. We had a lot of baggage so we had to go directly to the hotel. Clearly early, we were told check in was at 3. We asked, since we were already there, if they could get our room done early. They stored our bags and we headed out. We came back at 2 and the room was not ready, we finally checked in at 2:59 pm. Hard to believe they could not have gotten a room ready before then. Also, they delivered one of our bags to the wrong room. I did speak to the manager about this and he was sympathetic but noted that this happens all the time. Maybe they are short-staffed now. Still, we would gladly stay here again!

Close to the cruise terminal - approx 10 min walk. Very clean.

Wonderful stay at a wonderful hotel, staff and site are excellent!
