The location is beautiful — slightly above the town with great mountain views and an easy walk to the center. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the balcony view was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a good variety of fresh options.

Gorgeous location for the hotel, and clean rooms. Rustic vibe. Extremely pretty view from the windows and good breakfast. Be warned it is a little difficult to carry luggage manually up the steep slope to the hotel. Taxi to help carry everything costs 16 CHF from the station to the hotel.

It was a beautiful setting with amazing nice staff, however the walk (in the winter) was a bit grueling with the ice on the uphill drive to the hotel. Other than that it was an amazing stay

Hotel-Restaurant Bänklialp is a wonderful hotel. I stayed in the single room with a balcony and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very clean and recently remodeled. The facilities are well-equipped, with a sauna/steam room on site, electric hot water kettle in rooms, common ski room with boot dryers in lockers, covered parking, and a good restaurant on site. My room itself was small, but very clean, had a nice view of the valley/mountains, a balcony, and small closet. The staff is very nice and helpful. The only negative is the hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the gondola and 5-7 minutes to the train station. But, it was well worth it for the quality of hotel and value. Also, the restaurant is very good, my chicken cordon bleu was one of the best meals I've had in Switzerland.

Gemütliches und schönes Hotel

Wir haben uns im Hotel Bänklialp sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Empfang war sehr nett und wir konnten unser Zimmer bereits bei unserer Ankunft am Morgen beziehen. Das Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich. Vom Balkon aus hat man eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf Engelberg und die umliegende Bergwelt (Zimmer mit Bergblick). Das inbegriffene Frühstück war reichhaltig und genau richtig für einen guten Start in den Tag. Das ganze Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Beim Eingang des Hotels hat es hat es eine gemütliche Terrasse und auch Parkplätze für Gäste, die mit dem Auto anreisen sind verfügbar. Den Preis von CHF 10.-- pro Nacht finde ich allerdings sehr hoch angesetzt. Im Vergleich dazu, kostet der Parkplatz bei der Brunni Bahn und den Titlis Bahnen im Sommer CHF 5.-- pro Tag. Ansonsten ist das Hotel Bänklialp sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir hatten ein sehr günstiges, ein Nachtzimmer. Das Zimmer war klein und leider hatte es am Fenster Gitter. Meine Frau meinte wir seien im Gefängnis. Das Bett war sehr laut wenn man sich nur umdrehte knirschte es und somit hatten wir die Matratze auf den Boden gelegt und konnte gut durchschlafen. Die Nachbarn hörte man leider auch, ich wurde am Morgen wach weil ich diesen schnarchen hörte. Dazu hört man alles vom Gang her. Aber Frühstückstisch war der Hammer. Lieber etwas mehr einplanen dann ist es sicher mega😃
