We are replacing broken light bulbs with energy saving light bulbs and will keep on doing that until they are all replaced. To compensate the carbon footprint of the house native vegetation is being planted in 2010\. The house is partly self sufficient; it runs on 100% rainwater and firewood is collected from the property. A small plantation is being planted soon to provide firewood for the future.
