The staff was outstanding—friendly, accessible, and genuinely helpful. The location was ideal, with plenty of parking that easily accommodated both my truck and trailer. I stayed in one of the mini suites, which offered generous space and felt very comfortable.

This location has nice rooms and a convenient location. Unfortunately, my particular room was located on the end of the building, lower level, right next to the highway. I'm afraid the traffic noise was very loud, especially in the evening and extending until much later. It obviously was a major disappointment, even though the motel was nice.

Pros: Good location, walk to a few restaurants. Cotton sheets. Staff was friendly enough. Mini fridge and small coffee maker in room. Sink/mirror were outside of bathroom so two people can get ready at the same time - a room arrangement I appreciate. Cons: I think the staff did what they could to clean the room, but it's so run down that some things won't appear clean even if they are. The curtain had holes, the curtain rod was falling off its bracket, and the curtain itself was sagging across the rod. The bedspread was badly stained (the sheets appeared to be clean). The shower curtain had not been washed in a while so it had that smelly pink mildew at the bottom, which made the whole bathroom smell bad. The outside stairs were covered in outdoor carpeting that had not been cleaned in a while so they were quite dirty. There was a needle cap on the stairs that remained there for the duration of our stay (2 nights). If we had not pre-paid our stay, I think we would have found a different hotel.

This independent property is perfectly situated as a launching point to visit downtown Ely or Great Basin Park. Definitely issues with service due to employee turnover. It was adequate for our purposes. The bed was comfortable. The small breakfast offerings were sufficient and the coffee was excellent. The price is right. And though it didn’t matter to me the property is pet friendly. Expect mid and you’ll be perfectly satisfied. The staff is young and capable. Just ask for what you need and they’ll provide it.

Hello, older well maintained hotel. Nice beds, I didn't take a picture to post but the room we got actually was nicer than the ones posted. Our room had lovely white top of bed. microwave & fridge. Ice is across the street at their second property(short walk) Keep in mind you are off a hwy, you may hear the big trucks passing. Few steps always across the narrow street there is a casino, store easy to walk to. Would stay here again.

The motel was pretty clean. Phone in the room did not work. TV was hard to figure out, but we really didn’t watch it that much. 😄 They have a small breakfast area in the office that had cereal, muffins, sweet rolls, fruit, coffee, tea, juice. This was a one time trip to Ely, NV, so I doubt that I will ever be back there again.

The rooms were a bit dirty, the pillows were just thrown onto the beds and did not look as if the bed was freshly made. The floor was not vacuumed and the air-conditioning did not work. It was stifling in our room all night long. But the staff was wonderful.

It was not an easy night for me and my pup at the Bristlecone, unfortunately! Check in was easy and the front desk lady was friendly, and let me know of the nearby park! The room was spacious and clean, just the AC unit sounded like a train coming through, even though it was warm, I did not want to be bothering other rooms with the noise. The worst was being placed on the roadside corner room. It sounds like you are basically sleeping on the highway! Very sleepless and kind of scary night for me and my small pup. I likely won’t stay again and will definitely let traveling friends and family know to avoid.

I've stayed here twice now as a one-night stop en route to my final destination and will stay here again. Although the rooms are showing their age, they have been kept up well. Overall, I've gotten what I wanted, that is a clean bed and a clean bath. Bonus points for a strong wi-fi.
