Fabulous property that feels like a remote getaway but has lovely amenities and nice touches of rustic luxury. This hotel is 5 years old but feels brand new. The restaurant is excellent. The included breakfast buffet is one of the very best I’ve ever had. They are building a spa near the lake. The hike around the lake is peaceful. Will definitely be back to this hotel.

Love the feel which can only happen when you do it intentionally. You can feel the comfort from the start. Taking a modern style and making it woodsy is not easy. The pillows were a challenge but worked through it. Be aware that it’s a very rural location but the market close by has decent sandwiches.

6/10 Okay

When booking a luxury spa getaway, I primarily evaluate two factors: room ambiance (design, light, and comfort) and in-room amenities. On the first count, our king-size suite delivered. It was stunning—spacious, flooded with natural light, and outfitted with large windows and motorized shades. However, the in-room essentials fell short. At $650 a night in a secluded location, missing basic vanity supplies like lotion, shower caps, loofahs, dental kits, and sewing kits felt like a major oversight. There was no marshmallow on the fire pit. Dining was a mixed bag. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and Ruby was fantastic—her cooking was a highlight, particularly the thoughtful options for vegetarians. On the downside, the morning coffee setup was poorly managed; despite having a quality machine, long wait times and inconsistent availability were frustrating. Beyond Ruby, the general staff service was disappointing and needs attention, as several team members came across as dismissive and blunt with guests.

Lovely property to spend a weekend at. It’s secluded from the main area but the charm it has and the restaurant that’s present makes no need to leave the property. The breakfast and ambiance to spend during the fall and winter months make it cozy and warm

This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s been totally refurbished and the rooms are beautifully decorated and so clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. We had a junior suite with a couch and outside patio. Saw deer, geese and various birds on property. The bathroom was great. Radiant heated floors and towel heating bars. This place is luxurious. Loved the walking path around the lake. The staff goes above and beyond providing services and information. I can go on and on about this place but my suggestion is for you to try it for yourself. Book now, you will not regret it!!
