The souks, or traditional markets, branch off from the square, offering everything from spices to textiles. For couples looking for a unique and romantic experience, staying in a riad within the Medina offers an authentic touch. Many riads are former private homes converted into guesthouses, often featuring tranquil courtyards, rooftop terraces, and traditional Moroccan decor. They provide a calm retreat from the busy streets, while still being within walking distance of the main attractions.Solo travellers will also find the Medina an engaging place to stay. Its central location makes it easy to explore major sights like the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Mosque on foot.
