If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with your family, you should take into consideration this holiday home, enveloped by the olive yards that cover the hills and mountains of the Sierra de Cadiz. You will fall in love with its quiet atmosphere and picturesque decoration, thanks to which the whole family will unwind and recharge their batteries. This villa can welcome up to six people, who will share the three bedrooms provided: two of them are equipped with a double bed, whereas the third one features two twin beds. There’s one bathroom with shower at the guests’ disposal. The common areas, where you will gather with your beloved ones, are divided into a dining-living room and an independent kitchen. In the living room, you will find two comfortable sofas facing a fireplace, and a dining table. The house is heated via electric radiators. Once you have enjoyed the comforts of the interior, move outside, because it’s here where you will spend most of your free time. First, you will find a gorgeous porch with an area for “al fresco” dining, immersed in a relaxing atmosphere provided by the colourful flowers and lush vegetation of the garden. This will allow you to enjoy your meals accompanied by a delicate scent you won’t easily forget. Right next to the porch, a spiral staircase leads to the rooftop terrace, the real gem of the house: in addition to welcoming a coquettish sitting area, the terrace provides impressive views of the villa’s surrounding landscape, from the closest hills and olive yards to the Lake Zahara. The postcard you are presented is one to make you forget everything related to the routine and quietly enjoy the beauty around you. The villa’s backyard features the pool area, surrounded by the same lush vegetation that characterises the rest of the property, thus including vivid-colour flowers and Mediterranean plants. Los Cactus felt like a botanical garden where you could see all the love and care that was put in, even in November when we were there. The location couldn’t be more idyllic. The views during every time of the day were spectacular. Our host Trini is super nice and friendly, and despite a language barrier was the communication with her great thanks to the technologies (translation apps). We enjoyed our time there and explored the near and far (Ronda, Seville, Marbella, El Gastor, Grazalema). The area is great for hiking enthusiasts. The garden was absolutely stunning, so many different places to sit or lay in the sun or shade, enjoying the panoramic views over the embalsa and surrounding mountains. A lot of wildlife to spot! The pool is well maintained and regularly cleaned. The house is clean, well equipped, and peaceful and blissfully cool for when it gets very hot outside. Trini was a wonderful host and answered any questions very quickly via whatsapp, gave us great recommendations for eating in El Gastor (5 min drive), and was just generally very friendly and welcoming. Really perfectly situated for visiting Ronda, Zahara de la Sierra, and the Parque Natural de Grazalema where you can do some beautiful walks. Die Besitzer (Trini und Pepe) sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und werden alles tun, um Ihnen zu helfen. Die Lage ist wunderschön mit Blick auf den Zahara-See und die Grazalema-Berge. Es ist ein ruhiger und friedlicher Ort mit nur einer Handvoll Villen in der Gegend, aber weit genug entfernt, um absolute Privatsphäre zu gewährleisten. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach einem geschäftigen Badeort sind, ist dies nicht der richtige Ort für Sie, aber als ruhiger, ländlicher Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung Andalusiens ist es perfekt. The owners Trini and Pepe are very proud of their beautiful Villa and the grounds and pool were wonderful. The property is at the end of a road with one other villa in the vicinity. The only downside to the area is two caged dogs on the grounds next to the villa which I found upsetting, but this had nothing to do with the villa or the owners but it did spoil my stay. It would be much better if the dogs could perhaps have the run of the grounds rather than be locked in a cage. We would not visit again because of this but this is not any disrespect to the owners who’s property is lovely but I think future clients may also find the situation sad. Kim and Graham ##### kim f. Die Hütte liegt am Fuße zweier Berggipfel, um die Geier kreisen. Von der Dachterrasse können Sie auch auf den Zahara-Stausee blicken. Nachts können Sie das wunderschön beleuchtete Dorf Zahara sehen. Wir haben den Garten und die Aussicht auf das Cottage sehr genossen. Aber auch die Hütte selbst war sehr schön. Je kunt elkaar niet passeren. De douche geeft weinig water en wisselt van koud naar warm. In maart was het koud maar met twee verplaatsbare elektrische radiatoren net warm genoeg. Das Haus ist, wie es auf den Fotos erscheint, mit all der Privatsphäre, Geräumigkeit, ein perfektes Haus für 4-5 Personen, wir waren 3 und sehr gut, die Terrasse im Obergeschoss lässt Sie nachts die Sterne perfekt sehen, was soll man dazu sagen? Pool wir haben lassen sie es nicht den ganzen Tag hahaha, haben wir sehr glücklich verlassen und wir werden mit Sicherheit zurückkehren, es ist bereits unser zweiter Urlaub mit Ruralidays. Property very comfortable and immaculately clean We loved this very unique villa high up in the hills, with the most wonderful view. The pool, the garden, the terrace and roof terrace were all amazing. For us it ticked all the boxes. The only downside, was a caged dog in close proximity to the villa, that barks and howls at night, otherwise it would be very peaceful. ##### Adrian A.
