Such a fun home for a large family. Pool was sparkling clean, the huge beach was in our backyard and the shady coconut grove was the best place to relax and feel the breeze in the heat of the day. Caretaker Jocelyn was very sweet and always working to keep property clean.

The moment my family and I got inside the property we were blown away from the Host to the amazing beach view, sunset and the kids loving the pool it was awesome. I’m glad I was able to find this amazing Paradise thank you for having us I will definitely recommend to anyone.

Beautiful place & beach

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay, the caretakers were extremely accommodating and super friendly. The pool/outdoor area was absolutely stunning. My family and I will 100% be coming back.

The place was very nice as advertised. However we did run into some issues as not having hot water for showers. The other issue was the minimal bedding sheets provided. The attendant was very helpful and very cooperative. The ac in every room worked perfectly. There were a few unwelcomed critters in one room. The rest of the place was kept very clean and she was also on top of the pool maintenance. Overall it was a nice stay but it is obvious the place needs some updating. There were restaurants near by and the beach was right across.

Great place to stay at El Cuco

Our stay at El Maracol was great, they were flexible with our family group and the check in/check out was very simple. Don Francisco is great and is willing to go out of his way to make your stay the best time possible. When you’re there, do yourself a favor and order food from El Bombón, you will not be disappointed! Just ask Don Francisco about El Bombón. My family and I will definitely be back!

The care taker of the property is awesome. I really appreciated her tips for local spots to visit and help procuring food items. She even gave us salt since the place didn’t have any spices despite listing them. The outdoor areas of this property are great. Access to the beach and pool are great. This is the only reason to go back. The AC inside the rooms is great, too. Unfortunately, there were ants everywhere including in the kitchen so we had to refrigerate everything. One note: beware that the listing is NOT accurate. They offer a 5-bedroom home without clearly indicating that you have to pay an extra amount per room for 2 rooms. So basically you are renting a 3 bedroom home and the two rooms remain locked. It was not until I arrived and was told there is very fine print in Spanish after the reservation was done that indicates I reserved 3 bedrooms. If there are tiers for the rental, the owner should make that clear in the full description of the property. It seems really sneaky. The rooms are not great as the bedspreads are old and pillows are bad, The towels are stained and limited… the kitchen tools are pretty bad also with pots with no lids, no bottle opener or basic tools, and no paper towels. Just simple little things.

Beach get away

House is right front ocean nice swimming pool, very clean, the house has a lot of rooms, I rented for 11 people, I was given 3 bedrooms with 11 twin beds, 2 bedrooms with 4 beds and one with 3 beds, so theres no queen size beds or for couples

Must read before you stay !

We enjoyed our stay, and the caretakers of the house were exceptional they were very helpful and we felt secure due to fact that the home is gated. This review is intended for future guests and the property owner. We hope the property owner will address the issues we noticed. The rooms are run down and old, and the bath towels provided were hard and scratchy, indicating they were quite worn. We recommend bringing your own bath towels if possible. Additionally, the showers didn’t drain well in the three rooms we had. On the bright side, the common area is spacious with a beautiful view, and you have the beach at your doorstep. The pool is also a nice size. Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite these issues.

Exceptional

The ranch surpassed all our expectations. The ranch is more beautiful in person. Don Francisco, is an excellent host and always willing to please the visitor. We will definitely stay again in El Maracol, El Cuco.
