We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. Checking in was easy and I loved that they asked if we needed housekeeping. We did not. Good way to save on resources. The space and our room was clean and up to date. The breakfast had a variety on offer but mostly I enjoyed having honey for my tea. We did not have a kitchenette but we did have a small fridge and microwave which was great for when we were too tired to eat another fatty restaurant meal. All in all, I’d definitely revisit!

This is a very nice but old property. We loved the outdoor pool but it really needs some attention. The furnishings and carpeting in our room were pretty old and stained. It’s obvious that this was once a very nice hotel, it just needs a face lift! But the price was very affordable so it made it a little more understandable.

The property has such great bones that the current state of operations really is unfortunate. My check-in took some 45 minutes, namely because (1) no one was at the desk for 10 minutes, and the pre-checkin process wasn't working, not just for me but for the others waiting. (2) The room I was assigned had not been cleaned by housekeeping, so I walked into a dirty room with towels on the floor, etc. (3) I went down to switch rooms, the new room's door lock code wasn't working, so we had to go down AGAIN to reassign a new code. Then I had to retrieve my bags from 2 floors up, move them to the new floor, etc. This all made me late for an event I was hosting that day. While I understand things happen, these are more systemic breakdowns. And I appreciate the apologies from the staff, but what would have been appropriate was some form of modest compensation ... maybe waiving the $32 daily fee for self-parking, which seems a bit steep. Beyond that, the property is undergoing renovation. That too happens but if you choose to continue operating as a hotel during that, the impact needs to be minimal — versus plastic all over the hallway floors, elevators that look like they've been through war, and signs EVERYWHERE warning of wet paint. It's like staying in a construction area. All in all, would say wait until renovation is done and they're in a better place with the basics.
