"Awesome. Traditional pub stay. Room was spartan but very comfortable. Excellent meal in the evening and drinks at 1970s prices. And cost was half of what I paid up the Track to stay in a ‘donga’. Staff were very friendly and helpful. When next in Burra, I’ll definitely be staying at the Royal Exchange Hotel. (Thanks, Harrison)"

"Highly recommend this Historic Cottage . Near town (walking distance) and serene. Beautiful gardens compliment this house .
Everything we needed was there. Beds comfortable, warm, it has a fireplace but we didnt use it.
Functional kitchen , and nice relaxing lounge area.
So much History in this cottage and an EX Premier of the state owned it at one point . Plenty to see in the town , grab the Burra Pass, its well worth it. Very clean and neat place . "

"Loved Cartapo Cottage. Proper quiet, surrounded by gums, galahs, and open land. The night sky was unreal — completely dark and full of stars.Clean, comfortable, and everything was easy. Chloe & Oliver were genuinely warm and welcoming too. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape! "
