But given our tropical climate, you may still see the occasional bug. IMPORTANT NOTE: For the security of our guests, every guest who enters the home during your stay MUST be listed on the reservation or disclosed to the host. The house is friendly for small children, and walking distance to beach/pool/restaurants with small children in tow. Lots of fun beach toys were in the yard which was a nice surprise! I can’t complement enough how child/parent friendly the home was in particular there was a small closet that was effectively our nursery with multiple pack and plays available. There were a few minor concerns that I brought to the attention over the owners via app, and there was IMMEDIATELY a response and even maintenance available to address my concerns which I felt was above and beyond and well deserving of a five star review. There were plenty of activities available in the property itself and it is located close to a community swimming pool, volleyball court, basketball court and tennis and pickleball courts. If you are an avid pickleball player, you will be disappointed as the condition of the nets is not good. The beach is within walking distance but you may want to bring your own chairs and beach toys as the ones provided were lacking. This was our first trip to Destin so we didn’t know what to expect. We were also unfamiliar with the area and did find that the majority of restaurants and activities our family wished to experience were a good 30 minute or so drive from our location. Overall, it was a good choice for us and I would recommend the property to others with active kids in their family. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. ##### Denise C. The house was absolutely perfect - full of everything we needed in the kitchen to cook and enjoy family meals at home, absolutely beautiful and inviting, open living area, very comfortable beds, plenty of seating, and immaculately clean. The home is right across the street from the beach (in a lovely, safe, well kept area) with a gate code to private access on a stunning beach. If you’re looking to go to fun, beach front restaurants - there’s multiple nearby (and very close to grocery stores too if you’re looking to cook in)! Furthermore, I’ve never had a host be so helpful and responsive during a rental experience. The details of check-in and check-out we’re sent in perfect timing, and included everything we needed to know (I never had to message with questions - everything we needed was sent in a message to make it clear and easy to find what we needed). There was a link sent right before checkin with additional information about the house, making it so easy to plan and know exactly what to expect upon arrival. I can’t say enough about the hospitality and kindness of the host. My family took this vacation amid a difficult and unexpected life event, and when I had questions leading up to the vacation, her quick response time and kindness was so very appreciated. We had 9 adults and 3 children. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed for a great week at the beach. The owners were attentive and very responsive. We had a problem with the hot water the second day we were there. We messaged the owners and they had someone out to the house immediately and fixed the problem. Family of 8 adults and 5 kids under 10 were able to space out and shower when needed and not interfere with each other. Place came with family entertainment and sufficient kitchenwares for family meals. Big table for family. Close to beach with private access, and close(driving distance) to restaurants or groceries. Would definitely rent from them again, given another opportunity. Only issue we had was that one of the fan remotes had no batteries.
