Our check in experience, however, was disappointing. Check in was scheduled for 4:00 pm, and at 4:30 pm we received a notification that the cleaning crew was running behind and the unit would be ready in about an hour. I didn’t see the message while driving, but we arrived around 6:30 pm, well past the updated time. The unit still wasn’t ready, and the deadbolt was locked, so we couldn’t enter even with the code. I contacted the property manager, who explained the crew was short staffed but was able to reach them so my family and I could at least get inside briefly to use the restroom.The unit still hadn’t been cleaned, and there were no towels or bedding prepared. After a full day of traveling and expecting to settle in, we had to change our plans and find something to do until the unit was finally ready. It was a frustrating way to start our Spring Break trip.When we did get into the room, it was only partially cleaned. We found dirty socks in the bathroom, hair on the shower walls, dust around the floors, and we had to finish drying our own towels. There were also a few other small issues. After a 13 hour drive and the delays, and wanting to get away from stress no drive into it, we decided to make the best of it and enjoy our stay.To the property manager’s credit, she was very responsive and communicated well throughout the process. This review reflects only my personal experience.
