WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE. 601 Emerald Dunes gets right to the point of why you’re in Destin- not for snow covered mountains or forested rivers, you’re here to behold the glorious Gulf Of Mexico. However, this Destin vacation rental does more than let you behold Destin’s rare coast, it lets you experience it! It’s so close to the water’s edge that its almost as if you’re adrift on the peaceful emerald waves. One of the few two-storied condos in Emerald Dunes, everything about this penthouse condo revolves around the precious beaches beyond the balcony. From the three separate seating areas to the teal and tan color palette, everything is as comfortable as the soft sand below and as eye-catching as the Gulf’s expanse. Plus, 601 is not without its perks! The master suite features a huge luxury bathroom with a spa bathtub and separate vanities; a washer and dryer make keeping your clothes sand-free an absolute breeze, and a wet bar upstairs in the loft sitting area provides another entertainment area for your group. Resting in Crystal Beach which is known for its colorful houses and tree lined streets, Emerald Dunes is in a great walking neighborhood. Restaurants and shops are in the immediate vicinity while golf courses and several open-air malls are within a mile's radius. Plus, a gated entry, a grilling area and a pool deck round out Emerald Dunes perks. GREAT LOCATION! Located on the west end of Scenic Highway 98 in Crystal Beach, the property is within walking/biking distance of local shops and restaurants. When it’s time for dinner, Camille’s, a favorite local restaurant known for their fresh sushi and intimate bar, is just steps away. During the day, Camille’s sidewalk café serves a limited menu of coffee, smoothies, breakfast and lunch items and local brews. Also nearby, guests will enjoy access to Publix (grocery store) and Destin Commons, featuring a bowling alley, movie theater, restaurants and diverse mix of shopping opportunities. We require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays. We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays. The property was nice as well. Plenty of space for everyone in our group. We were disappointed that the property was listed as having 4 full baths and when we arrived there was an out of order sign on one of the showers. This would have been nice to know as the 4th full bath was a deciding factor on choosing this property. My husband Had read a previous review about it being out of order but it was over a year ago so we didn’t think anymore of it. I definitely think this should be disclosed up front prior to booking or the listing should be changed to a 3.5 bath. Outside of that we had a wonderful stay. ##### Sara M. It was comfortable and roomy. The shower in the bathroom with 2 twin beds had a very slow drain and it was a little gross. The tv upstairs would not allow you to change the input, so kids could not watch dvd. The upstairs bedroom needs a door. The screen on the living room window needs replaced. It was taped and the screen on the bedroom on the first window looked damaged. All in all, great place to stay… beach service was friendly and helpful, as well as the security guard. I think there are a few things families should know though before they stay in this condo. It’s huge, clean, and beautiful. We had 4 adults, 2 teens, and 3 kids 12 and under. We all had plenty of room. However, the upstairs bunk bed room does not have a door and that was a major issue at night. The kids that slept up there were tired from the beach but couldn’t fall asleep if we had the TV on or were playing games on the main level. Most nights we had to go to bed earlier than we wanted. I highly recommend getting a door of some kind ASAP. I also dislike that we had to go buy garbage bags, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, baggies, plastic wrap, salt and pepper, etc. We have stayed in condos in the same price point and had those things provided. You get 2 garbage bags, a few dishwasher packets, etc but you run out. It’s just a pain and another expenditure that you end up leaving there. At this price point it would just be nice if it is included. Lastly, the beach chairs, It was odd that we had to hunt the worker down to reserve chairs. For the size of our condo and the amount of people it sleeps, 2 chairs and one umbrella is not sufficient. Having to pay more each day for more chairs and an umbrella is kind of ridiculous. Then on our last day, we were told we could check out at 11 since the condo was not rented so we got all of our stuff out by 9ish and planned to just hang by the beach until our flight. We were not allowed to use the chairs even though the management company told us that we could the day before and then we were asked to pay for the use for a half-day. Again, at this price point I would expect the use of chairs until check in time for the next group. The chair guy was kind of rude and packed up chairs before 5\. It kind of made you feel like you had to finish up down there before you were done. We had a wonderful time and none of these things were serious but I feel like it’s good to know. ##### Grace C.
