The actual spring water is iron and mineral-rich. Took home a few gallons and should have stocked more. My dog loved the property as well. When we arrived, check in was smooth and easy. I was surprised as I had thought the cabin I had booked had 3 beds so I must have been the one mistaken but regardless we made it work and it was fine as it was a fast trip, not a long stay. Otherwise, it was easy, comfortable, quiet, like being at home but quieter. LOL. Not what I expected. I am not a camper and this was a step up from a tent. Maybe that is how it is supposed to be. But, it was not for me. The best thing about the cabin for me was the bed. The TV room furniture was awful. We were wanting to find a quiet place to relax for a few days. We found exactly that! We drank a lot of the spring water and made excellent coffee with it. Our desires to find a place of rest in a quiet place was a complete success. Management supplied a great map of the area upon check in, showing places of interest in the area (including the famous spring on site). We went out to explore the area every day and relaxed in the cabin as well. If you are looking for an action packed vacation, there are other places to consider. If unplugging from the race is on the agenda, this is a great place for success. Our appreciation goes out to the management of this property.
