 About the home   
  
"Encanto" (Enchanted in Spanish), is a single level, 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom home in central Cowes providing the perfect setting if you want to park your car and walk around town. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:  
  
 Indoor Areas   
  
The home is split into three parts - the main home, a self-contained 'unit' accessible from the deck of the main home, and a bungalow attached to the garage.  
  
Entrance to the main home is via the sliding door on the deck next to the driveway. It contains a Master bedroom with WIR and en-suite (with shower and toilet), bedroom 2 and 4 which share the main bathroom (with shower and toilet) and bedroom 3 which has a smart TV and an en-suite (with shower and toilet) and a rear laundry. The main kitchen / dining area is in the centre of the home, with a living/lounge area at the front of the home with coonara fireplace (no wood supplied, huge smart TV and a sound bar.  
  
The self-contained unit is accessible via the covered alfresco at the rear of the main home and has bedroom 5, an en-suite (with shower and toilet) and its own living room (with smart TV) a kitchenette (with a fridge). The bungalow is attached to the side of the garage and contains the huge bedroom 6 (with smart TV), fridge and an en-suite (with shower and toilet).  
  
 Outdoor Areas   
  
The huge garden provides a great place for kids to play and the covered side deck (accessed off the central kitchen/dining area) is perfect for entertaining. The large tandem double garage functions as a games room including a table tennis table with the long driveway providing parking for up to 6 cars and/or boats.  
  
 Kitchen   
  
The fully appointed main kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, pantry, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and 5-burner gas cook top.   
  
The unit has a kitchenette with bar fridge, sink, microwave, kettle, grill and electric hot plates as well a small supply of cutlery, crockery etc. The bungalow also has a kitchenette with a bar fridge, sink, kettle, grill, and a small supply of cutlery, crockery etc.   
  
 Heating/Cooling Systems   
  
The home has 7 wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners. There is one in each bedroom in the main house, plus one in the front living/lounge, one in the living room attached to bedroom 5 which also heats and cools that bedroom, and one in bedroom 6 (the bungalow). There is a coonara style wood heater in the main living room (no wood supplied - available from the service station just 30m away).

This home has 10 beds plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 17 guests:

 Linen   
  
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.  
  
 Peak Periods   
  
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Great location! Table tennis enjoyed by all. Also the backyard space was very good. BBQ was perfect for cooking for our group of 14 adults and 3 Children. A light in bbq deck area is needed. Large television great because we all watched the grand final. Bedrooms and bathrooms very well set up and convenient. A few suggestions re maintenance. Shower in bedroom next to garage did not work properly and needs to be fixed. Laundry door sticks. Sets of wine glasses are needed. We celebrated family birthdays and everyone enjoyed the weekend.

#### Amazing home and perfect location

We had such a fantastic stay here, we hardly left the place as the weather was quite cold. But when we did it was central to everything. Restuarants, Supermarkets etc were within walking distance. The house is such a great layout and as we had a few families stay it allowed everyone to have their own space too. Can't recommend enough. Thank you we all had sucha

#### Great for adult reunion

the house was great for our group of friends who mostly had their own bathrooms and space. The kitchen was spacious and we loved he outdoor eating area; great for breakfast in the morning sun. A few more comfy chairs in the lounge room would be good. Wonderfully close to shops and a pleasant walk for morning coffee and the beach. Easy access tgo all other PIsland tourist spots.

The location was very good as it's very close to the town and is walking distance to the super markets and shops. It's about a ten minute walk to the beach. We had to pay an extra $300.00 for linen, but the linen that was supplied wasn't very clean, and they were just dumped on the beds. Even the pillow cases were just kept on the beds. We used the oven in the morning, but it didn't work the second time when we tried using it in the evening. We had to throw some food items that we had brought with us for baking, and had to spend extra to buy some other food items, as the oven wasn't working.

We had our son’s wedding and stayed here with family for our grand event. What a wonderful place the joy was having so many bedrooms and bathrooms! A well equiped kitchen the only thing Missing was a grater.

#### Terrific time out space

There were 8 adult family members staying and we were comfortable and relaxed. We were in Cowes to attend my daughters wedding at the Shearing Shed. The house was located in a great spot, restaurants and shops were within walking distance. The house was awesome and nice to come back to after we went off to the wedding, walking to the shops and doing errands here and there. The outdoor area was a wonderful spot where we spent a lot of time, the garden was absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely book Encanto again.

#### Group Trip to Encanto

We were a group made up of another of families and so the size of the property with the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was great. Kristina - one of the property managers was excellent to deal with and was quick to come up with prompt fixes for minor issues at the property. The kitchen had a good number of utensils and plates which was excellent for a large group. The property was overall quite new but needed a really good mop and dusting of all surfaces.

We stayed here for a family gathering and had a great time! There was plenty of space for everyone and it was kid friendly as we had small children with us. If you have a large party and are looking for a great base for an island getaway I couldn’t recommend this property any higher

#### Disappointing

The house has a practical location in central cowes. Lots of bedrooms for large groups. However there were multiple problems with the property. We paid for linen to be supplied ($30 per king/queen/double bed and $15 per single bed). We were disappointed on arrival to find the linen was left folded and we had to make up the beds ourselves. The host should make it clear that the fee doesn’t actually include putting linen on beds. We were then shocked to find one of the sheets provided was covered in mould stains. One of the bathrooms had a shelf dangerously hanging off it’s hinges. The lock on the same bathroom was broken and (oddly) the host had opted to paste a handwritten sticker on the door saying “please knock, lock broken“ rather than spend a few bucks at Bunnings to replace the latch. The kitchen was ill equipped. No kid’s dinnerware. A bottle of dishwashing liquid near the sink had been refilled with laundry liquid. This was incredible strange, not to mention possibly toxic. The property is not child friendly. There’s no children’s tableware whatsoever. No bath which is tricky for infants and toddlers (to be fair the description does list 5 showers so one could infer there’s no bath). The property is on a busy main road and there is no gate. We had several little kids with us so this was a big concern. We contacted the host quickly to advise of the broken shelf and mouldy sheet, which is they offered to replace. We didn’t need a replacement sheet. We hope the next guests have a better experience. A little bit of attention would go a long way in this property.

Great location, extremely well equipped, very comfortable beds. Plenty of space for our 12, with room for more. Decor excellent and fresh. The garden and grass was somewhat overgrown but this was a very minor drawback. We would certainly return.
