Don’t be fooled by the name !! This hotel might have been boutique back in the 80’s. My room (7), was decorated by my gran with an eclectic miss match of furniture. The bed was terrible and hardly slept all week, sofas were non usable as sooo uncomfortable, the phone reception was non existent and the WiFi was really as bad. Considering i work away, wifi is pretty critical for my needs and I couldn’t do any work which meant being on site longer than I would have liked. I’m working in Cheltenham till Feb 27 but certainly won’t be coming back here

We found most of the staff were very rude with the exception of the gentleman owner who we met in the bar, Rachel in the restaurant and Lorraine in the swimming pool. The facilities and rooms were nice. The restaurant was nice and the food was good however some of our dishes arrived without all of ingredients to which the waitress said the chef never informed them they’d run out; and the St. Emillion wine on the wine list is mis represent because it is not from St Emillion it’s from Montagne St Emillion which is a much cheaper and lower standard of wine. When the bill came there was no reduction made for this, and when I tried to talk to the younger waitress about it she just walked away, thankfully Rachel took over and offered a 10% discount. Overall, the place is nice enough, the road to it is very tricky but the staff let it down a bit
