This home’s classic coastal vibe, excellent amenities, and Oceanside location are the perfect elements for a fantastic vacation. Made for entertaining, the ground level provides horseshoes, basketball hoop, children's swings and a solar heated private pool with pool volleyball, whatever activity you plan, this home is sure to please the entire family!

Family time is best spent on the Mid-Level; an airy great room equipped with a 47" flat-screen HDTV, dining area for eight and a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. All bedrooms are located on this floor and equipped with a flat screen TV for your enjoyment. The outside deck is furnished and also comes with a carpeted screened porch with table and chairs for outdoor dining.

The top-level den is a relaxing getaway with Ocean views and TV/DVD/VCR.

Whether you’re indoors or out, you’ll experience a top-notch Outer Banks experience at Cactus Flower where seaside memories await you!

Location was great and liked being in Corolla. The view from the loft is excellent. However, the house is advertised as sleeping ten which it can but is really just big enough for eight and the dining room table is for eight . Two suggestions: replace the grill and get a more comfortable living room couch.

Cute house. We enjoyed the location to the beach. Wish the leasing office wasn’t in Duck as we always come in early to enjoy the day while waiting for our house to be ready. Staff however was super helpful and friendly!

Our week at Cactus Flower

Great location, and easy walk to the beach, the house was clean upon check in. The pool was fantastic, my only complaint was none of the outdoor lights around the pool or in the pool were working. I called and reported to the rental agency and they said they would send someone by who never came. We went out and bought several strands of solar lights that satifisfied our kids who love night swims in the pool, so alls well that ends well just an FYI for others staying at this property. Overall great home, location, pool and trip, would most def stay at the cactus flower again.

Great getaway

The house was very nice and in a great location. Convenient to the beach and stores with a nice ocean view from the loft area The listing states no linens provided so we brought our own. We were surprised to see they were provided when we arrived so you can save previous cargo space not packing those. Couldn’t find switch for interior pool light. Rental agency said could be out but did not send anyone to fix. Overall great place to stay. Will definitely visit again.

Beach vacation

Cactus Flower was a nice house for our beach vacation. Near the beach access path, then a short 1 block walk to the beach - great location. The pool was good size. Really enjoyed the screened in porch, especially when it rained. It was smaller than expected but in line with how it was described (bedrooms, baths, etc.)

A WV Family Beach trip 2019

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cactus Flower at Whalehead Beach! The location to beach access was great! The house was very clean upon arrival. The only suggestions I would make is to update the games as most of the pieces were missing & try to do a little work on the decks because 3 out of 4 kids got splinters trying to hold onto the handrails. We would definitely book this property again!!

This house met all of our requirements for this season. We were looking for a house close to the beach, with a pool conducive to some good volleyball matches. The house itself is not as lavish as others we've stayed at in Corolla, but we were also looking for a more cost-effective way to be close to the beach, and we found it here.
