The cabin was beautiful and perfectly maintained. Our weekend stay was relaxing and memorable — everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully managed. We’re already looking forward to returning in every season!
This is the place. Pre christmas. We had a great time. Mr o possum waddled across the leaves at about 1am for breakfast. A bobcat growl, while sitting next to the fire can spook you. The hot tub was relaxing. We enjoyed the local winery. Its always hard to depart from peace.
Wanted an escape before starting back to school for the fall and this was exactly what we got. Easy communication with owner and got quick response. Beautiful and quiet property! Great spot on the river!
The property was well maintained and situated on a beautiful location on the Jack’s Fork River. We visited looking for rest and relaxation amid the sounds and sights of nature, and that’s exactly what we got.
The property is terrific -- we loved the river access -- and the hosts do a great job providing all the various amenities and tools to help make your stay fun and easy. Really nice hosts with great communication.
We loved the setting in the woods, the access to the water, the variety of activities and the personal touches to the cabin that made it feel welcoming! We can’t wait until our next stay!
It was perfect for our little end of summer get away so peaceful and quite! The river is beautiful! The river is where we stayed pretty well every moment when at the cabin.
The property was amazing, lots of nice touches inside and very clean. Short walk down to the gravel bar on the Jacks Fork River. We loved the wood burning stove inside and firepit outside! Host was very responsive and helpful. Looking forward to staying here again!
My husband, dog and I stayed here for Valentine’s day weekend. We absolutely loved the property and want to book another visit ASAP! It snowed while we visited, so we enjoyed our view of the water from the hot tub. We did check out the Jack’s Fork River and loved that we could fish right there on our own gravel bar. Can’t wait to come back when it is warm so we can swim and bring our kayak to really explore the river. The communication and hospitality was top notch.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The river is absolutely gorgeous, and it is where we spent most of our time playing. The cabin is very private and is the perfect place to unplug and relax. The only sounds you hear is the river and the birds. Highly recommended.
This lovely cabin a short walk from the Jack’s Fork was a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing in the area. The interior is gorgeous and so comfortable, we were well rested for our float trip the next day. I would like to go back myself sometime just for the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Contemplation Cabin is an apt name for this lovely property. The host was BEYOND accompdating. 15/10 stars. We had another couple originally going with us and they changed their parameters 6 or 7 times. Each flex, Logan was patient and worked with us. Cannot rate them highly enough. Thank you so much.
Nobody else around for miles, except the occasional canoe on the river - like having your own private scenic river with bluffs in the mountains on the National Scenic Riverway. Wonderful little cabin, way better than the most glamorous of camping. Lots of cut and split firewood ready to go by the firepit, plus charcoal grill and outdoor gas grill, and everything needed for S’mores! HUGE PLUS - your own private beach an 2 kayaks to paddle right up to the gorgeous bluff formations on the far side of the river…a great swimming hole at your doorstep. Wonderful experience for us during the total eclipse - all alone with nature. Best place ever!
Great host, very concerned and reached out if everything was OK. Snow made road journey a little concerning, but all worked out. Quiet. Secluded. Enjoyed this and sitting in hot tub under stars looking at snow and river.
This is a beautiful cabin in a truly peaceful setting. The location by the river is excellent, the cabin itself is lovely, clean, and well maintained, and it was exactly what my wife and I were looking for in a quiet day retreat together. However, I do want to note a significant issue. We specifically communicated to the host that we were only there for a private day getaway, yet during our stay a man showed up unannounced to unload wood. That interruption was very frustrating and disruptive to the purpose of our visit, which was solitude and time away together.Aside from that interruption, everything else about the property was wonderful, and the cabin itself is a great place. With better respect for guest privacy during stays, this would be a near-perfect experience.
