It is a completely renovated house, which offers its tenants modern and comfortable facilities, characterized by the typical style of the Axarquia and a traditional decoration in which the elements and ancient details such as ceramics, vases and cupboards have been preserved. A design with special charm reminiscent of the typical rustic style of Andalusia, spread over an area of 180 m2 and three exterior and bright floors: on the first floor, a beautiful and spacious living room, three double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and a small terrace On the second floor, a functional and fully equipped kitchen decorated with two beautiful rustic brick arches that gives access to a living / dining room, a bathroom, a storage room and two typically Andalusian balconies. On the upper floor, a living room has a double sofa-bed and a 2-level sun terrace with fantastic views of the town, the mountains and the sea. On the ground floor there is a lounge with a bar and an indoor pool heated by solar energy, which is accessed from the main entrance and also a side entrance independent of the house. Its situation in the town, is so central and also quiet, that a few minutes walk we are located in the center, the main square, the municipal parking, restaurants, bars, cafes, taxi, ATMs, etc. From its terrace you can see part of the vintage square, where the famous Wine Night takes place. The windows, terraces and balconies overlook different streets, ideal to see the Holy Week processions, and also fantastic views of the mountains, countryside and sea. How to move Activities and attractions From Competa there are 9 hiking trails through the Natural Park of Sierra Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama, ideal for enjoying the surrounding landscape and nature. It is also possible to visit other beautiful villages nearby such as Canillas de Albaida (only 2.5 km), Árchez (4 km) or Sayalonga (9 km). In addition, it is only 30-40 minutes from the well-known beaches of Torrox Costa, Nerja or Other highlights Competa, famous for its acclaimed wine and its popular architecture, is a beautiful Andalusian town located 18 kilometers from the Costa del Sol and 54 km from the capital of Malaga. White town of the Axarquía, is characterized by its privileged location and its impressive mountainous landscapes since it extends over the Natural Park of the Sierras de Tejeda and Almijara and Alhama. Among the visits that can be made during your stay we highlight a tour of the typical white houses, the church of Our Lady of the Assumption, the Museum of Popular Arts and Customs and the hermitage of San Sebastián. We also suggest an enogastronomic route through the many wineries or bars where you can taste the famous sweet-dry wine, accompanied by some tapas of crumbs with cod or grape salad. Competa is also characterized by popular festivals and traditions that it celebrates each year, such as the Summer Fair, the Day of Fire or Holy Week. Très belle maison de ville idéalement située (petit supermarché, commerces et excellents restaurants pas chers à moins de 5mn à pied). la maison est très propre et super équipée (clim dans chacune des 3 chambres et séjour si besoin), elle possède aussi une jolie terrasse ombragée et une petite piscine (eau un peu fraîche). Bref on recommande sans hésitation cette location. A noter que pour l'arrivée il est préférable de fixer un rdv sur la place du village car les infos GPS risquent de vous envoyer par des rues trop étroites. Magnifique maison andalouse où nous avons passé deux semaines exceptionnelles, le beau temps était au rendez-vous pour un mois de janvier. La ville de Cómpeta est agréable, tout est à proximité, restaurants, supermarchés etc. Les contacts avec les propriétaires sont excellents, très disponibles et vraiment gentils. The apartment was large and clean. Francisco was an excellent communicator both from the point of booking until check out day and Marta was kind to visit in person the day after check-in to see if everything was okay. There are a LOT of steep steps in the house (four levels) as as our party we’re all over 65 years of age, it was tough going for 9 days. But a decade or 3 back wouldn’t have bothered us in the least. So I’d say you must be fit. The mattresses were not very comfortable for our group. Again, our ages could be a factor. The listing stated there were two doubles and a king but there was no king bed as we know it and it was just a tiny bit wider than a double. There were no sharp knives for preparing food and a chip in one of the mugs. Small things but important. We only used the pool once as the weather wasn’t very warm when we were in Competa. Nice quick walk to restaurants and shops. On the upper balcony/terrace a lot of the roofing came down whenever it rained so needs to be replaced soon. Listing states parking, but there is no parking on the street, closest we were regularly able to get was down about 30 steps down next to the house. All in all, it was a big house for the money we paid and there were no restrictions or surcharges on using heat or air con (which we didn’t use.). I would recommend this house as long as you are younger or fitter than us. ##### Laura H. Lo que menos nos gustó, no relacionado con el alojamiento, fue el acceso al pueblo, ya que son carreteras complicadas, tardamos casi 40 minutos en hacer 18km para ir a la playa. La verdad es que nuestra estancia ha sido un verdadero placer para mi pareja y para mí. Desde el primer momento, hemos tenido una comunicación muy dinámica con el propietario, cosa que agradecemos muchísimo. En cuanto a la casa, estamos encantados; está totalmente equipada y tiene todo lo necesario para hacer la estancia agradable. La terracita de arriba nos encantó; pero lo que nos ha parecido una pasada es la piscina interior de la parte de abajo de la casa. El pueblo es un sitio tranquilo y tiene muchos recovecos donde perderse, con muchos sitios cerca donde poder comer, cenar, hacer compra. Resumiendo, la casita nos ha gustado mucho y volveremos seguro!! Totalmente recomendable!! :) ##### Carlos C.
