The gray colors used in the interior create a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere that serves as a common element for the entire apartment. The warm hardwoods further soften the spaces. With a noble and recent refinement, the spaces in Palazzo Visconti masterfully combine majestic classicism with clean and cozy modernity. Warm colors and minimalist decor go a long way! ADDITIONAL INFO \\"Suite Broletto\\" can accommodate up to 6 guests. There are two bedrooms with double beds and a sofa bed in the living area which is shared with an equipped kitchenette. Two bathrooms. The apartment is two-leveled with one bedroom in the loft. There is a small courtyard terrace. EXTRAS In this property, pets are not allowed. Baby beds are available at an extra cost. Extra cleaning and linen are available at an additional cost. Transportation can be provided, please contact us! ACCESSIBILITY There is an elevator in the building, but the apartment is not adapted for permanent wheelchair users. There are stairs in the apartment. PARKING The historical center of Como is mainly a pedestrian area. It is possible to arrive at Palazzo Visconti by car to drop off the luggage, but the nearest parking is available in Viale Lecco, about 400 meters from the apartment. You can park your car only within the blue stripes. Pay time is from 8 am to 8 pm. Pay at the machine and get the ticket to be put on the dashboard inside your car, or use the “EasyPark” app. There are also paid parking garages nearby: “JASCA” in nearby Piazza Volta, “CENTRO LAGO” with an entrance in Via Recchi, \\"VALDUCE” in Viale Lecco, and \\"TRIBUNALE” in Via Auguadri. NEIGHBORHOOD The property is in the historic center of Como – a lively area with modern bars, restaurants, and shops as well as historical churches and buildings. In high season, expect the streets to be busy all day long. In winter, it is usually quieter. GETTING AROUND The main sightseeing objects, Lake Como, and train stations are just a walking distance away from the apartment. In the city of Como and nearby towns, ASF Autolinee buses are in operation. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (bus station in Piazza Matteotti in Como, bars, and tobacco stores). Taxis are also available. From the pier, a local ferry service will take you to Cernobbio, Torno, Bellagio, Varenna, Colico, and other lakeside towns. Please note – if traveling in high season, we advise you to be patient with long waiting lines at the ticket office. Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website. From Como San Giovanni station, there are regular trains departing to Milano Centrale and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From Como Nord Lago, there is a train connection to Milano Cadorna. The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost. TIPS \>We advise you to take a day to visit the marvelous little towns around the lake. Como city is the urban center of the area, but the little towns are gems with glorious lakeside villas. \>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must. \>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle! \>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that doesn\\'t require too much walking uphill. It connects the little towns from Colonno to Griante. A bus will take you from Como to the starting point in Colonno. \>Look for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes. \>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly. \>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. In Como city, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is not recommended and is mostly forbidden. There are beaches in other lakeside towns. A nice little beach awaits you in Careno. Please note that it can be crowded on weekends. Locals and visitors also enjoy traveling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall. Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel farther and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. \>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. We could not fault the property itself. It was clean, tidy, has great amenities and we honestly could not have been in a better location. On stepping out from the front of the property you immediately stand at the foot of the duomo and are less than five minutes walk from the lakefront. Easy to access Brunate too. The only headache was the check in process which involved signing a tenancy agreement, taking selfies, sending everyone’s passports and personal information and then separately involves a video call to verify every member of the party. We also ended up having to wait an extra half hour after the original check in time and had to chase the host to call us with the code for the self check in. With a slicker check in this would be a five star stay. ##### Samuel B. We stayed in Como for 2 nights and enjoyed the location very much. The only issue was checking in. It went smoothly but I was not notified until 2 days before we arrived that I would have to go by the management office first to check in and I had already booked my car to take me directly to the unit. It would have been nice to know when booking that I would need to check in elsewhere. About a 10 minute drive. ##### Julius L.
