On the roof, you will enjoy the big furnished terrace with a view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. ADDITIONAL INFO In Como Design Apartment, each room has its own balance of shapes and colors, starting with the warm and welcoming entrance, up to the living room, where the design and harmony of light colors create soft and charming lines. The quiet bedroom in shades of wood and blue, warmed by the light of a rice paper lamp: a light and exotic oriental touch. The lovely balcony is ideal for your morning coffee or for a drink at sunset while watching the lively Piazza Volta where locals and tourists enjoy their day. EXTRAS In this property, pets are not allowed. This apartment is not suitable for children and infants. Extra cleaning and linen are available at an additional cost. Transportation can be provided, please contact us! ACCESSIBILITY The apartment is on the second floor with no elevator. PARKING The historical center of Como is mainly a pedestrian area. The nearest street parking is available in Viale Lecco or in Viale Varese. You can park your car only within the blue stripes. Pay time is from 8 am to 8 pm. Pay at the machine and get the ticket to be put on the dashboard inside your car, or use the “EasyPark” app. There are also paid parking garages nearby: “JASCA” in nearby Piazza Volta, “CENTRO LAGO” with an entrance in Via Recchi, \\"VALDUCE” in Viale Lecco, and \\"TRIBUNALE” in Via Auguadri. NEIGHBORHOOD The apartment is in the historical city center of Como with bars and restaurants in the area, close to the lake, also close to the train station. GETTING AROUND From nearby Como San Giovanni station, there are regular trains departing to Milano Centrale and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From Como Nord Lago station, there is a connection to Milano Cadorna. In the city of Como and nearby towns, ASF Autolinee buses are in operation. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (the main bus station in Piazza Matteotti, bars, and tobacco stores). Taxis are also available. However, the historical center, the main sightseeing objects, and the lake are a walking distance away from the property. From the pier in central Como, a local ferry service will take you to Cernobbio, Torno, Bellagio, Varenna, Colico, and other lakeside towns. Please note – if traveling in high season, we advise you to be patient with long waiting lines at the ticket office. Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website. The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost. TIPS \>We advise you to take a day to visit the marvelous little towns around the lake. Como city is the urban center of the area, but the little towns are gems with glorious lakeside villas. \>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must. \>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle! \>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that connects the lakeside towns from Colonno to Griante and doesn\\'t require too much walking uphill. A bus will take you to the starting point in Colonno. \>Look for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes. \>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly. \>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. In Como city, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is not recommended and is mostly forbidden. There are beaches in other lakeside towns. Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. Locals and visitors also enjoy traveling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall. \>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly.
