Not too far a distance, but you have to drive to get things from town. The house is off the main highway a nice distance, so there is no road noise. The house is quite new, nicely furnished & very comfortable. My lifted truck even fit in the garage, which was a major added bonus for me, with my dogs, & the heat with a dark colored vehicle. Beautiful sunsets right out the big windows, & a couple deer also ventured by. (Brave with 2 labs sitting on the patio). Bed was very comfortable & bathroom nicely appointed. One note, however, is that there are not darkening shades/blinds on the windows, & it is light early & late in the summer, so if that disturbs you, a sleep/eye mask is recommended. Kitchen has everything needed (except a wine /bottle stopper- just FYI if you plan on needing one - I just finished the bottle instead...) Other item to note is that there are no screens on the windows. I love fresh air & listening to the birds & horses, etc, so this was a minor bummer, but not a major inconvenience. Should you choose to have a window or slider open regardless, insects do get in. The surrounding property of the house is pretty baren, but be aware (if you're not familiar with this landscape), the grass is not soft, & little burrs & seeds get attached to dog hair or clothing. Last noteworthy thing is for first arrival; google maps/waze are accurate, but be aware that the mailbox will be on your right & driveway is on the left.
