Looking westward, it is perched at 330 meters (about 1,000 feet) above sea level and offers a 270° view of the Pacific Ocean. Looking toward the other three compass points you will see Mono Alegre is surrounded by thousands of acres of first-growth pristine jungle. It is a rarely found jungle-immersive experience! Casa Mono Alegre is located 5 km from the Costenara. Much of the road is paved with asphalt. The final 2 km is an unpaved, well-maintained road. It is steep in several places, however. The best vehicle to use is either a four-wheel-drive (4WD) or an all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle.
