It is approximately 130 sq.meters and consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 living areas, one of which can be used as a bedroom, open kitchen with adjoining dining room and 3 bathrooms with shower and toilet, two of which are en- suite. Two of the bedrooms have double beds, while one bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted into a double bed on request, alternatively add a third single bed. The living room has a sofa bed and can be used as a bedroom for two people. On request a cot can also be provided for any of the bedrooms. The property is surrounded by paved terraces and right outside the main entrance there is a large dining table under a covered pergola where you can enjoy delicious food cooked on the garden grill. In the garden there is a swimming pool (40 sqm, 140 cm depth, with walk in access and shallow end) with a terrace overlooking the valley , equipped with 6 sun loungers/chairs under covered pergolas, where the sun shines from dawn to dusk . The house, garden and outdoor areas are nicely lit so that you can enjoy long summer evenings outdoors. The garden is filled with olive trees and fig trees (just eat straight from the tree in August - figs like you've never tasted them!), pear trees, almond trees and of course hundreds of lavender bushes that give the garden a lovely scent. There is parking within the property gates for 3/4 cars. The trulli are tastefully decorated to a high standard ensuring you a comfortable and luxurious holiday experience. Up to 1.5 meters thick walls ensure a comfortable indoor temperature day and night , even in the hottest months. There are AC units in all bedrooms and common areas. The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped and there is also a Nespresso machine (but remember to bring coffee capsules ). The property is connected to the public water network , so you can safely drink delicious water straight from the tap. NEW WIFI - as of 2023 stable and powerful wifi provided via Starlink. Trullo di Sotto can be rented together with the neighboring property Trullo di Sopra. Rented together they can provide ample space for large parties up to 16 people. When rented separately they are however completely private as the houses are ca 80 meters a part . They only share the access road, but each house has its own separate and private entrance, parking, gardens and each property has its own private pool. Please enquire for availability and links to the other property. About the services offered Included in the rent is a welcome service, undertaken by our English speaking Italian partner. She will meet you in the city and take you to the property at the agreed time. She will give you a brief introduction to what you need to know and will also be your contact person on the spot if anything should happen you need help with. The rental price also includes linens , shower and bath towels and beach / pool towels for all guests, changed weekly for stays of 2 weeks or more . Final cleaning is included in the price for all stays, while for stays lasting two weeks or more, there is a light weekly cleaning of the property in connection with the change of linen and towels. If desired, additional cleaning can be purchased for an hourly rate of 12 Euro. This must be agreed in advance. Underfloor heating available at additional cost. English speaking babysitter or chef to come to your home and cook are also available but must be arranged in advance, price on request. About the weather Puglia has stable dry and lovely weather, and summer starts in May and lasts until October. July and August are the hottest months and temperatures can reach over 30 degrees. However, the property is approximately 340 meters above sea level, ensuring a gentle wind and a dry climate, even in the hottest months. The swimming pool is not heated but will usually have comfortable bathing temperature from mid-May to September. Beach season is also from May to September How to get there The location of the property is such that a car is necessary. Cars can easily be rented at the airport or in train station in both Bari and Brindisi . The nearest airport is Brindisi (about 40 min) while Bari airport is about 1 hour's drive away. Ryanair, Lufthansa and Easyjet fly direct routes from many English and other European airports. Beds are comfortable and the trullo is very clean upon arrival. Home is located down long dirt road near a horse farm. For me personally it was part of it's charm-enjoyed seeing them every time we ventured out. Though a little remote it did still make access to so many beautiful towns withing 15 to 60 minutes. We had stayed in Bari followed by Lecce for 6 nights so the countryside was a welcome respite. Unanimously, we felt this was all part of our journey. We did have some extreme weather there for a couple of days but our contact person checked in twice on our welfare which was reassuring. The pool was clean and grounds well cared for. Both had ample places to sit and enjoy an early morning coffee or late afternoon glass of wine. All the bedrooms were of adequate size but since there were only four of us we chose the two bedrooms with doors opening to the outside which happened to be on opposite sides of the villa. We just loved our stay and would definitely return. Angelita was easy to get in touch with and quick to respond when needed. ##### Julie F. We stayed as two families, nine in total and the house was plenty spacious enough for us all. The outdoor areas were great for relaxing and we made good use of the barbeque area. You definitely need a car as the property is remote but this meant that we didn't have to worry about noise with small children. Nina was very efficient in responding and her guide of places to eat and visit was excellent. The villa is very nicely decorated and has everything you need. The bedrooms were warm as the AC is only in the central area and we did ask for the pool to be cleaned as once a week on a Friday may not be enough! Absolute Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit findet man hier. Das Anwesen ist gut ausgestattet, eine gut funktionierende Fussbodenheizung sorgt auch an kalten Tagen für angenehme Temperaturen. Der Pool ist gross und sauber, man verfügt über drei Schlafzimmer mit drei Badezimmern. Da es keinen Telefonempfang gibt, ist das WiFi wichtig. Es läuft gut. The villa was immaculately clean, the gardens well kept and we had everything we needed for our weeks stay and really enjoyed our holiday. The pool was clean and there was a net provided which the boys loved fishing out any stray bugs that might have flown in overnight! The internet dropped off a couple of times but we followed the instructions in the welcome pack and were connected back quickly, there is very little phone signal but this did not bother us we were able to make online calls if we needed too. Location is perfect for exploring by car to all the nearby towns and villages, Alberoberro and Martina Franca were my favourite's however there are so many more lovely places to visit too. The house and the surroundings are beautiful and very calming, also its close to all the cities you may want to visit. Both Nina and the local contact Angelita are very friendly and quick to respond when texting. One night we had a chief over at the house to cook for us, it was a lovely experience. Perfect places to relax and enjoy the countryside. Weather was warm and sunny so made good use of the villa and the amazing pool area. Also plenty of nice towns nearby to go and explore and lots of good restaurants to choose from.
