Having lived in Exeter, NH for 7 years,,.I recall the Exeter Inn having a very positive reputation. Our two night stay was very disappointing! A form letter awaited is in our room informing us that a renovation is planned. Meanwhile, we experienced the odor of a musty, old place. The air-conditioning unit was covered in rust, the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, bedroom and hallway. Though a tent card indicated housekeeping services would be provided, our towels were not changed nor was the rubbish removed. The receptionist when we checked in on Saturday and out on Monday was cordial and we appreciated a glass of Prosecco upon arrival - I recommend inquiring about the status of the renovation when/if you consider this property.

Nice place very clean .staff helpful. Rooms have everything you need.would definitely stay there again.
