Don't get anxious with the look on the ground floor entrance. I initially thought I was in the wrong place until someone indicated to take the lift to the 8th floor. That's where the reception is. The first 4 floors are occupied by other businesses. At reception I found very helpful staff that made my stay very enjoyable. They were prepared to accommodate my early arrival but the room smelled strongly of tobacco. The offered to change it if we waited for later in the day, which I did. The rooms are very modern, ample and with smart connectivity. Ours had a bathtub by the window which we thoroughly enjoyed. The breakfast was mostly Chinese with a choice of teas, juices, coffee, broth, pickles vegetables, stir-fried vegetables, boiled and fried eggs, noodles, yoghurt, toast. Very comprehensive and delicious. The chef was very accommodating and ready to help. The location is very good, close to excellent public transport, local restaurants and 25 min walk to Chunxi Street, a walkable street in the heart of Chengdu. They also offer self service laundry which was a blessing for us. The rooftop is very pleasant. I only have praise and highly recommend this hotel.
