Got our key card and made our way to the building across the front desk ignoring all the shady ppl surrounding the place not thinking much of it. As soon as we enter the hallway, the smell of cigarette smoke smacked us in the face. The hallway and walls looked dirty and run down. It was clear people were living there. Dude across from our room was banging in the door asking for someone, other ppl were just hanging around. Some other guys approached my husband trying to sell random stuff. I've been around drug addicts before so I KNOW exactly what was going on in this hotel. Absolutely nothing about the situation felt safe, especially since we had our son with us. Our key card didn't even work and before we made it back to the front desk we quickly decided we would rather sleep in the car than stay one more second in that place. I was genuinely shocked at the conditions. Honestly, I was pretty happy with what I got for the price. Less than $100 for a single night stay with a king size bed, a microwave and a fridge. There are lots of security cameras, which is nice for anyone who has safety concerns. Staff were super friendly and understanding of my cats being temporarily upset(they hate traveling). One of the guys at the front desk helped me haul one of my huge cat carriers to my car.
