Location is convenient. 11 min ride to historic downtown, park in the streets for free. There is a Publix at a walking distance if needed. Not 5 stars because the room was shabby. Bathroom needs renovations. Hooks come off, there was not shampoo and body shower liquid in the jars built into the shower.

The entire place was wonderful! So many great snack and drink options in the lobby, super clean and beautiful room, great parking. No complaints at all honestly. I wish I could remember the name of the lady working the night we checked in because she was so great and funny, the perfect person to talk to after a long car ride!! The location was really great too, a little too far from the downtown to walk but we did not care at all, it gave us more opportunity to see the city!

Nice hotel with clean nicely appointed rooms. The location is very convenient to medical center area. On premise parking is basically nonexistent but they do provide parking at a nearby parking garage. Front desk staff needs a remedial course in customer service. Not sure I’ve ever encountered someone so unfriendly and unwelcoming. This will certainly be a factor when considering lodging for future trips to the area.

This was a great location for us, near the VA Hospital. It was pet-friendly, though we saw no other dogs except ours during our stay. We appreciated other amenities, including comp breakfast, a mini store, pool, laundry, and fitness room (we did not use the latter). On the down side, our bathroom shower tiles badly needed re-grouting or upgrading, for appearance sake at least (the grout was discolored). Some of the surrounding sidewalks and exterior steps were uneven, which we navigated okay but others might not. Finally, along the hall leading from our room, the only EXIT sign led you to the steps, none for the elevators at the other end. With that said, there are trade-offs, and the convenience and other amenities still made it a worthwhile choice.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The overall feel of the place is a little shabby. The staff however is stellar!! Everyone was friendly and respectful and eager to assist in any way they could. Check in and check out was quick and painless. I was in Charleston to visit someone in the hospital and didn’t need anything fancy so this met my needs just fine.
