Fishing:
Oneida Lake is best known for its walleye and yellow perch fishery. In the spring walleye can be found in shallow water adjacent to spawning areas and tributaries. During the summer months' walleye are usually found in deeper water. As the water cools in the fall, walleye move back into the shallows. Fishing from shore after dark this time of year with stickbaits and blade baits can be fantastic. Walleye can also be caught through the ice around shoals, drop offs and deep water flats. Ice fishing for yellow perch is very popular on Oneida Lake and normally takes place around deepwater flats in 30-40 feet of water.
Oneida Lake is a fantastic bass fishing location and numerous bass fishing tournaments are held each year on the lake. Oneida Lake has become a popular tournament stop for professional bass fishing organizations such as BASSMASTER and FLW. Small mouth bass can be caught around the many shoals while large mouth bass are found in the larger bays and anywhere there is good vegetation growth. Panfish can be found throughout the lake. Big Bay is a popular ice fishing location for panfish and one of the first areas on the lake to ice up.
Young of the year yellow perch and gizzard shad, along with round goby are the main forage fish found in the lake.

Great location with many dining options within walking distance. The setup is family friendly location with plenty of space for all. Dan the host was very accommodating and communicative.
Area is awesome! Host was great, was quick to answer anytime we reached out! Home is large, exceptional view and so much character! If in the area would definitely stay again!!
We had a terrific time. House was perfect for our large group. The house has a "cottage" feel - comfy, relaxed and suitable for all ages. The front porch is a gem and the yard is huge! Would definitely recommend for groups that are looking to have an enjoyable time!

Dan was a great host! The house was super large, with enough room for everyone to spread out. The kids loved the outdoor fire pit and all the video games. I would certainly stay here again in the future.

Fantastic, clean and comfortable stay!! The house was massive with more than enough room for our group of 9. We didn't have the best weather during our visit so we were grateful for such large common areas and we were not crowded at all. The property was fantastic and we enjoyed walking the waterfront. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We were visiting Liverpool/Syracuse and it was a very close drive and easy to get to. Can't recommend enough, we are already looking forward to our stay next time!
House is very spacious and comfortable with old world charm but does need a few updates. We will definitely be back. Dan is an excellent host and answered all our questions

Great location
Home is in great location. The property ia in need of TLC and a good cleaning. Furntiure ia old and broken down. Tiles on stairs are falling off, tile in kitchen is broken in several areas. Beds were comfortable.
This home accommodated 12 adults comfortably; there was plenty of space! Our group enjoyed the huge back yard with access to the water. We purchased firewood at a local store and sat around the fire pit enjoying s’mores. It is conveniently located near restaurants, stores, golf courses and so much more. We ordered pizza from a place just down the road one evening. The host was excellent with communication! He even allowed us to have additional family members come visit for a few hours one evening. Check in was easy. The home has old charm but has all the modern amenities. We would stay here again if visiting the area.
We had a fantastic week! The house was large enough for our group of 12 adults and the location was perfect! Dan was an exceptional host - extremely responsive to questions or issues. We would definitely recommend staying at this property.
The property was easy to find and plenty of parking. The host was available and responded in a timely manner. Basically the home wad comfortable and welcoming.
8 friends and myself stayed here for a girls’ weekend. We had an amazing time. Dan communicated well. We found the house to need an extremely good cleaning. When I arrived I swept all the floors. The house is extremely dated and all the walls, floors, baseboards, windows, outside area needs a good cleaning, weed trimming etc. The grill worked in some areas, but not all burners. We did not reach out to Dan to let him know since we made it work. He did say to let him know if issues. If we had let him know of our concerns regarding cleanliness we would have likely had to leave due to needing a long time to clean up.
A perfect home to rent. There is a beautiful river view with easy Lake access. Good restaurants within walking distance if you want. A large house with plenty of room and Clean! Friendly neighbors. The home owner is ready to answer all questions and make your stay very enjoyable. This is a house you will want to ReRent !!
The house was exactly what we needed. Property owner Dan was readily available. Kids swam and fished every day. Close by shopping in Cicero. Really great spot. Hope to see you next summer!!
Dans rental house had everything we needed for our twelve(12) guy fishing group. Rental is very large and everything worked as it should. Whenever something came up(which wasn’t often) Dan was just a call or text away, the most prompt owners response wise since I started renting through Vrbo(even stopped by at 9pm after asking permission to figure out a television connection problem but had that fixed real quick)! Thank you Dan and Charlotte for the great experience!
We had a bachelorette group of 7. The house was gorgeous with tons of space. The yard was bigger than pictured and right on the water. The host was amazing, very helpful with identifying local spots. Our refrigerator wasn’t working the greatest and he replaced it immediately. Great spot!
