Old Town of Celano

Il Borgo Antico is located in the heart of Celano’s historic district, at the foot of Piccolomini Castle, in a quiet area at Via Antica 49, right in the historic centre, with excellent transportation links and at the heart of the urban hiking trail. It boasts a panoramic view of the Fucino Valley and is filled with the scent of smoke rising from the chimneys of the ancient village, which dates back to the late 1800s. Here, life moves at a leisurely pace, with people going about their daily lives at street level and cats basking in the sun—in short, the ideal place to breathe in the fresh air and relax both mind and body! The property is arranged over two levels: on the first floor is the living room with a fireplace, an open kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and a window, and an utility room with a washing machine and a clothesline. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils, a gas stove, oven, microwave, Vergnano capsule coffee machine, and a smart TV. A CO2 detector and fire extinguisher are provided in accordance with current regulations. Upstairs is the sleeping area, which includes two bedrooms: the first, overlooking the Fucino Valley, features a double bed, a smart TV, and a closet; the second bedroom, facing the village’s internal street, Via Antica, has a bunk bed with a closet. There is also another bathroom, again with a shower, and a small balcony. The house is equipped with Wi-Fi, complimentary coffee pods, and basic toiletries. Bed linens and towels are provided. A camping cot with a mattress is available for children up to 2 years old for an additional charge of 30 euros for the duration of the stay (sheets, blanket, and pillow not included), as well as an IKEA high chair.
