Uflat is an apartment of 175 square meters, inserted in a building from the early 1900s, totally renovated respecting the easy and happy volumes of the past. Floors that mark the continuity of the apartment from one end of the house to the other in the context of vaulted roofs, ancient cement tiles placed in a vertical position and stucco on bleached ceilings to generate a muffled atmosphere according to a balance that holds together tradition, cosmopolitan creativity and contemporary furnishings that recall the great masters of design. The space is illuminated by two large windows, which give access to the balconies overlooking the main road, from three others that overlook the internal courtyard and from a last window that opens the entrance to the terrace, an external vent space and place of conviviality and relaxation. Four bedrooms with private bathroom which can be accessed by passing through the common areas (hall-living-kitchen) according to a perfect formula: all possible privacy but also the opportunity to socialize with other guests. The white walls delimit the boundaries of the spaces leaving the scene in the presence of architectural elements interpreted by different materials such as wood, glass, steel and iron which help to define the synthesis of a harmonious whole. A perfect balance between decision and passion of handcrafted elements, of simple objects full of memories because even in the smallest detail you can hide an unexpected story right inside an unexpected apartment. \----- The apartment is equipped with finishes, valuable objects and furniture. To ensure the preservation and integrity of the structure, upon arrival, upon delivery of the keys of the property, the host will deliver to the guest a form containing a brief description of the state of the property, its appurtenances, structures annexed and of the goods contained on that date. May 29, 2017 #### Gorgeous apartment in the middle of the city Aurelio and his sister were wonderful hosts, waiting for us in Catania. They made sure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. Even when some trouble with internet connection came up, Aurelio offered to help and was generally available within a few minutes. The apartment itself is a true work of art! High ceilings and modern amenities, tastefully decorated and pleasant in every way. Very spacious inside and easily accessible by an elevator straight to the door. The location is ideal as well, three minutes away by foot from a beautiful park, which made our stay with kids infinitely more comfortable in the middle of a city. We rented this apartment for seven days. From the listing it almost looked too good to be true, but the reality lived up to expectations completely. The booking and check in process were easy and accommodating to differing arrival times of our group. The apartment is ideally located: close to great restaurants, easy walking distance to museums, markets, shopping. We used secure parking for the first night, but after that we found street parking that was relatively easy, inexpensive, and available. We planned a series of day trims to Toarmina, Syricusa, , Ragusa and Etna. Once out of the core, those were all easily commutable. The apartment in immaculate, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Each bedroom has it's own en-suite, and the wifi is dependable. From the back balcony you can see Mt Etna, the front bedrooms open onto the busy street below, but there is little sleep disturbance from the traffic. On the ground floor is a family run bakery that was our daily breakfast stop. The language barrier didn't prevent us from enjoying the delicious offerings. We would highly recommend this apartment: the location, the apartment itself, and the service and attention to detail by the owners made it a truly enjoying and relaxing experience. ##### Phillip E. The location can not be beat and is within walking distance of many major attractions and countless restaurants. We were able to leave the car in a close by parking lot for most of our stay (highly recommend using the parking recommended by host Aurelio). The flat itself offers very spacious bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms. The high ceilings and modern decor adds to the bury of the space. Elevator access makes moving in and out very easy. He made our time there very enjoyable by providing support in our travel arrangements in and around Catania. He was a great resource and helped me line up transportation and excursions. The apartment was in a great location for us and we found it close enough to the main city center to walk. The apartment is close to many restaurants and cafes as well as the fresh market. We had three couples and the size of the apartment was perfect. The apartment was very clean and nice with a modern flare against old world lines. The main entrance is a little rough getting to the apartment or lift. We considered it part of the character of the building.
