The luxurious holiday home is located in Coubaril, a peaceful part of Castries, bordering a tropical rainforest, with a beautiful view of Martinique, the northern French Sister Island. The house is equipped with 2 bedrooms with air condition, 1 master bedroom on the 2nd floor with private terrace and air condition, 1 large living room, 2 bathrooms with shower and bathtub and a full-equipped kitchen. The house has a large covered terrace for relaxing (3 hammocks available) and an 8 m pool. The next beach is about 10 min. away near the La Toc Hotel. Here is a 9-hole golf course as well. From the house, you can get to one of the top 20 beaches, the Reduit Beach, but also the lonely beaches in the north of the island in the Cape Estate. Here you will also find the exclusive 18 hole St. Lucia Golf Resort & Country Club. Excursions through the island, tours in the tropical rainforest and other tours can be organised. Bakery, supermarkets nearby.

Très bonnes vacances dans cette belle villa

Très bonnes vacances dans cette belle villa. Accueil très chaleureux de Tony, qui est toujours à notre écoute et disponible tout au long du séjour. Avant notre départ en vacances, Serena nous a envoyé par mail des bonnes excursions à faire. Merci. Maison très belle, décoration simple mais superbe. Très bien équipée et bien entretenue. Belle piscine à débordement, propre et bien entretenue par Tony. La terrasse est grande, bien équipée avec une grande table et 2 canapés. La chambre du haut à sa propre terrasse avec un grand canapé. Magnifique vue sur la mer des 2 terrasses et à seulement 15-20 min du centre de Castries. Nous avons passés 10 jours à 4 adultes - et nous recommandons vivement cette villa pour vos futures vacances. La seule petite chose négative, mais nous savons que la propriétaire n'y est pour rien, ce sont les chiens du voisinage qui aboient le soir et pendant la nuit.

Million Dollar View

Spend 15 days at this jungle paradise with my family of five during the March spring break. The house is exactly as shown in all the pictures. The kitchen was well appointed, the living area and bedrooms were very tidy and clean, and the pool was clean and refreshing. By far the best feature of the house is the outside deck with a million dollar view of the ocean. Every morning we enjoyed our morning coffees while watching the cruise ships come and go. As the house is on the edge of the jungle our family spent countless hours being entertained by watching the local hummingbirds and lizards that are so abundant in the area. The pool was a family favourite and was so nice to come home to after a day of exploring the Island. Can’t say enough about Tony (owner’s brother) who kept the grounds clean and quickly responded to any question/assistance we required. Also wanted to strongly recommend owner’s friend Andy for car rental while you are on the Island. Andy and Shanaz picked us up at the airport, gave us a quick orientation of the area, and took us grocery shopping before driving us directly to the house. ( On a side note—-we would have never found the house on our own.). Unfortunately our stay coincided with the COVID 19 outbreak which resulted in a very stressful second week of our holiday. Luckily the house became our hideaway from the outside world and we were able to leave the Island on our scheduled flight. Overall the house exceeded all our expectations and was the highlight of our holiday

St. Lucia vacation

Had a great week in beautiful St.Lucia., partly due to this beautiful home. The area is secluded and quiet. We spent a couple days just hanging at the house, enjoying the views and the pool. Excellent communication between Serena and Andy. So thankful for the pick up and drop off from the airport, and having a car available for us at the house. Since we were arriving late, Andy did some grocery shopping for us before we arrived. Greatly appreciated. Tony was attentive to our needs also. He gave a full tour of the house on arrival. I would highly recommend this home for your vacation. Thanks to Serena, Andy and Tony (and the other 2 drivers) for a great rental experience!

Amazing Outdoor Living Space & Fantastic Property Manager!

There is a lot of great things about this property! First and foremost, Serene is absolutely incredible to work with. We've rented many properties online and she was by far the best we've worked with and so very accommodating. The best thing about this property is the outdoor living space and that view! We spent all of our time on the patio and laying out by the pool. We couldn't have asked for a better set-up outside. We also loved that Serene connected us with Andy and Shenez for our car rental. I HIGHLY recommend them. They met us at the airport and drove us to the house so we could get a feel for opposite side of the road and car driving. She also brought us to the grocery store on the way. I just can't say enough great things about them, book their rental now! There are a couple of reasons as to why we didn't give it a full five star rating. It was nothing that we'd say don't rent this place because of, but as an avid review reader, these things would have been nice to know: - There is not AC in the whole house. There are three unites in each bedroom. When we arrived only the upstairs bedroom's AC worked (and not very good). Tony informed us the other two bedrooms units were broken. St. Lucia is hot, the house was hot, and sleeping was not the most comfortable without AC. They did provide fans, which helped but it would have been nice to have had the units up and working. - Both the shower handles in the downstairs bedrooms were broken. This means you had to hose yourself down everyday, which made it very difficult to wash your hair. Again, not a huge deal but something that wouldn't have been hard to fix prior to guests coming. - There was also a strong sewage smell in the upstairs bedroom. Sometimes at night it was almost unbearable, other days it didn't seem as bad. Overall, we loved our time in St. Lucia and our stay at this house! I wish I could work with Serena and Andy on all my trips! The house is beautiful , has such incredible views, and centrally located to so many incredible things on the island. Thank you Serena for a great vacation on your island!

Perfect holiday: one birthday and one proposal!

All arrangements worked extremely well. Booking the villa and the car hire was easy. We arrived in St. Lucia on a public holiday, so Shanaz had kindly asked for a shopping list and set us up with food and drinks for our first day. Andy and Shanaz met us at the airport in our jeeps giving us a guided tour of Castries and the area around the villa, so that we knew the road system and where the supermarket was. This was really helpful. Tony is a true gentle man, welcoming us with wine and beer, cleaning the pool and explaining the workings of the house. The house was perfect for our needs of 6 adults. The layout gives plenty of room and privacy for all couples. Sorry to say we didn't use the lounge, as we lived on the huge verandah - perfect for lounging in the hammock, on the sofas, BBQs, just sitting round the table for family meals, cards etc etc. The views are great from both verandahs. The pool was perfect for plunging and cooling down. Having the jeeps meant we got out and about a lot - really recommend that you need transport if staying here. If you like running, there are plenty of hilly routes around the villa. All in all we had a perfect, relaxed holiday here, that was made all the better by celebrating our son's birthday and my daughter's engagement. Thank you.

Lovely place

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for 6 adults with a bathroom for each couple and good sized bedrooms. The outside areas were particularly enjoyed, a large terraced area with lots of comfy seating and a great pool space. Two things to note, I think. Firstly you definitely need a 4wd car to negotiate the track and secondly, the mosquitoes are something fierce so lots of repellent and spray for bedrooms. Tony was very helpful and available and kindly let us stay in the house for the afternoon as we had a late flight home. A mention too, for Shanize ( correct spelling?) and Andy who supplied us with the jeep and transported us to and from the airport. Efficient and friendly.

Wonderful home, tremendous views and lots of support!

This home is exactly as pictured at HomeAway - a very spacious lovely home, with everything you need to enjoy a great vacation. We did a two generation, family spring break and found three lovely bedrooms, a very workable kitchen with lots of utensils and a grand porch to eat and relax. The pool was perfect and used daily. We were met at the airport by Shanez, who proved to very helpful all week long. She drove us from the airport - we weren't ready to drive right away on the left-hand side of the road on fairly hilly and rocky island after 8 hours of flying to get there - you will need four wheel drive vehicle to get around. Shanez stopped on the way to Castries for some delicious hot bread made by locals and sold at a roadside stand. Because it was Sunday afternoon when we arrived, and most stores were closed, she also took us to get some much appreciated fast food in the town of Castries. At the house, we met Andy, who had a rental car waiting for us at a discounted price and who had stocked the refrigerator with some much appreciated basic items to get us through until we could shop the next afternoon. We also met Tony, who would visit us several times to see how we were doing, clean the pool, sweep the exterior areas, including the large porch and remove the trash. He also provided information on how the TV worked (we never turned it on) and the Internet connection (which we did use). We always felt like there was a support team there for us. We visited many of the area beaches and restaurants, took a great catamaran trip, went to a "Jump Up" (ask Shanez) and had a great time. We highly recommend this "Holiday home"!

Lovely Home on a Wonderful Island

Handsome, clean, spacious home with a wonderful pool near Castries. Well supplied and maintained by owner's brother who was helpful and available, well-informed and beyond pleasant to deal with. The view is spectacular and the neighborhood peaceful and uncrowded. The driveway is astounding but easier to navigate than it appears. Driving in St Lucia takes courage, skill and luck! We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Tony took care of the house and he was awesome to talk to and get some local knowledge. Stunning property with amazing views in a peaceful location.

We have just spent 2 weeks in this beautiful villa and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil, spacious place to stay with great views and a pool to cool off in. The 3 double on suit rooms are a great size and we're perfect for our party of 6, there are plenty of fans to keep you cool at night. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and making cocktails plus a nice BBQ for knocking up some lovely jerk chicken.The outdoor eating/chilling area is massive and we spent plenty of time out there winding down, staring out at the lovely view drinking a few Pina Coladas. The pool is a good size and was used often to play water volleyball whilst the lady's lay on there sun loungers soaking up the rays. Serena and Tony have been very helpful whilst here, giving us plenty of information on how to get here from the airport, where the supermarkets, restaurants, nice beaches and things to do whilst here are and cannot thank them enough for the villa. Ps 4x4 a must as very hilly.

Beautiful Property in a picturesque setting!!

We had a wonderful stay with our family and friends. We enjoyed the sparkling pool and convenient location. Be sure to check out Smugglers beach (fantastic restaurant - The Naked Fisherman), see Soufriere on a boat tour with Captain Mango, (check trip advisor, he was amazing) and enjoy local restaurants and markets. Everything was great and Tony the property manager was responsive to our requests and very helpful. We hope to return!

Perfect Vacation Home

I can't say enough about this wonderful home! The house was clean, and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed, each bedroom has it's own bathroom, which was nice for three couples travelling together. The house is in a great location, just a 10 minute drive got you to the city, to the grocery store, or to the beach. Our favorite place to be at the end of the day was at the beautiful long table on the deck, where we had dinner most evenings. As some other reviewers mentioned there are dogs in the neighborhood, which you can hear barking, but they were usually quiet at night...and really, there's not much you can do about that anyway. Serena was very helpful, and assisted in arranging our transfer to and from the house, and was very welcoming and gracious. If we ever go back to this gorgeous part of the world, we would stay here again.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

Words can not begin to describe how beautiful this home and island are! We just got back (literally 2 nights ago) and I couldn't wait to write this review. I truly don't feel the pictures do it justice (and the pics are gorgeous!). The pool and decks offer breathtaking views and were our favorite spots to spend our time. It was just the 2 of us so we slept in the upstairs bedroom which is INCREDIBLE. All the rooms are, as well as the bathrooms, but we honestly didn't spend much time inside. The house was supplied with everything we could possibly need, plenty of it! We were met at the airport by Junior from the recommended car rental, Andy Sanchez.Junior was wonderful!! Told us things about the island, took us to get groceries and was just a beautiful soul to get to know. Definitely use them and request Junior to pick you up! We highly recommend 4wheel if you like to go off the beaten path (which we do). When we arrived at the house we were greeted by Tony, the owner's brother. Another beautiful soul! Probably one of the nicest people we had ever met. He called to check on us throughout the week to make sure we had everything we needed and we truly enjoyed getting to know him the day he came to clean the pool (which is never dirty for some reason....the pool was my favorite spot, next to the hammock!) Christine, the owner's sister, gave us great spa recommendations and tour information. We only did the "tourist" thing one day and it is surely worth it (mud bath, Pitons, etc). We recommend Charley's tours!! We highly recommend getting to know the locals. Truly a beautiful people. The "Jump In" party in Gros Islet is unreal (if that is your thing) and the food on the island from the high end restaurants (check out The Edge for sure) to the tiny island bars off the beaten path (Ms. Majorgies to name just one) are a culinary dream. If you have ever traveled to the islands/Mexico, then you understand that dogs are everywhere roaming freely around. Most homes do not have AC because of the costs, so the dogs actually prefer to be outside. They do bark (that's what dogs do), but for us it was just a nice reminder of our pups at home. We never felt afraid or threatened by them. One day we even walked right by all of them and they didn't so much as move a muscle. They mostly bark at tires and I can't blame them. It's island life...they don't want the noise! Serena is wonderful and did an amazing job with her home! Could write SO much more, but sadly out of room

A Wonderful Home To Rent With Family

We just returned from our stay on St. Lucia. My wife and I spent a week at this villa with our three children, ages 14, 12 and 5, and had a wonderful time. The pictures are an accurate representation of the home. It felt safe, was reasonably clean, and appliances were generally in good working order. Vigie Beach is only a 10 minute drive and this was our favorite beach. It's near the small airport, and that's probably why the beach was free from other tourists, but flights were infrequent and not disruptive. The home is close to several supermarkets and the main road that can take you to Rodney Bay (~25 minutes) or towards the Pitons in the south (~an hour plus). The reason why we didn't give the property 5 stars is there were several items that we would have supplied if we had owned the house. There was no hand soap, no dish soap, no laundry detergent, no extra toilet paper, no bottled water, no directions to supermarkets or sights or recommendations on restaurants or tour companies. This is not a huge complaint, but if we had known, we would have brought items like soap with us to use during our week-long stay. The other issue is dogs in the neighborhood, which the owner can do nothing about. Our first night there, a dog was crying for most of the night, as if in agony. Every night, the various groups of neglected dogs would bark at each other at random times, and we heard numerous dog fights. Perhaps the guests at Sandals heard the same, in happens throughout the Caribbean. But it unnerved my wife (the kids slept through it). During the heat of the day, the dogs were lethargic and non-threatening when we drove by. There is only one power strip that can accept typical US plugs (120V) for your chargers and computers. You will want to bring a music source as the boom box in the house is dead. The gas oven works well, however two of the four burners are not working (including the simmer burner). There was no coffee maker when we arrived, but Christine, the owner's sister, supplied one. We all loved the pool, the outdoor dining table and loungers. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. The owner furnished the house tastefully and with care. I will cherish the memory of waking to a cup of coffee, opening up the house, and watching the sun light up the ocean from one of the loungers. The bird, insect and frog songs were incredible. Hawks circled the house daily. Flowers were everywhere! It was a wonderful vacation.

wow!

We stayed for two weeks at this fantastic property and had a blast. The porch is huge and the perfect place to eat, read a book, drink a cocktail, see the kids enjoying themselves in the pool (while being in the shade yourself), or just hang out. There is a second porch as part of the master bedroom upstairs which is a perfect place for romance. The neighborhood is very safe and a supermarket is nearby. You do need a 4WD though! Christine took great care of us and arranged a car at a good rate + a day trip on a sail boat to the volcano/mud bath/estate with swimming, snorkeling and dancing on the way. We highly recommend this little peace of paradise! Don't forget to visit the beaches on the complete north of the island as well (near cotton bay village, only 30 min drive)

Perfect!

We (3 adults and 3 kids under 6 years old) have spent 3 weeks at Serena’s villa last November and our stay was fantastic!!! The house was clean, well decorated, localisation was perfect, the manager was a lot of help in planning our activities (including our wedding) and providing useful stuff (ex. baby high chair and baby cot) There was no fence to keep kids away from the swimming pool, but with big chairs in wood we were able to invent one. The three bedrooms each have a private bathroom so it is the perfect setting for a big family or for 3 couples of friends who want to travel together and keep intimacy. We HIGHLY recommend this place and we would go back at anytime, as we felt like home.

Nicely decorated and spacious house

We had a wonderful family vacation (4 adults) in this house for a week in January 2013. It was one of the nicest houses I've ever rented. Here is a summary of the stay. - The house is just like the picture, nicely decorated with authentic art. Great views from the porch and even from your bed you can watch the cruise ships come in and out of the bay. - The house is on a steep hill and sits on stilts, it faces the ocean. - The layout of the house great with 3 nice sized bedrooms, 2 on the first floor and 1 on the 2nd floor. The 2 bedrooms no the 1st floor are on opposite sides of the 1st floor. - all rooms have a separate bathroom with a shower, the one on the 2nd floor has a spacious tub and a rainfall shower head. - there is a nice pool on the porch, about 8 to 10 meters across. - The porch is huge, and has a dining table where we ate every night. - The neighborhood was nice. Felt very safe. - The driveway was newly paved, although a steep ramp up, 4WD can make it up and you don't have to use the stairs. - They had a hammock to hang. - The kitchen had all the utensils for cooking (strainers, lots of pots and silverware). It included water boiler, microwave, french press, toaster as well. Some tips: - House owner's family member met up with us at the airport to help with the 4WD rent a car. If you are interested in driving around the island 4WD is probably nicer. (some roads have lots of pot holes) The prices were lower than the franchise car rentals. - If you have questions about house matters another family member (brother) is near by for quick support. - There were not many mosquitoes during the 1st week of January, but we did get some bites (like 3). We brought electronic mosquito coils, and there were mosquito nets in the rooms.

Wonderful retreat with stunning view from pool

I agree with all the other positive reviews. We had a wonderful week in St Lucia, and the house was a treasure - quiet location, fabulous views, great pool, well-appointed house, fast internet. You are not overlooked by anyone, and it was a lovely private retreat. There are quite a few stairs up to the house, but apparently a driveway is being completed behind the house that will lead you straight into the house. Christine met us at the airport with a wonderful smile and was efficient and helpful all the way. Yes you need someone to meet you at the airport and take you to the house, or else you will encounter some mighty steep, pot-holed roads and probably decide they are not passable... but they are! We definitely recommend renting a 4x4, not only to get to this place, but if you want to see the island, and find the remote secluded fabulous beaches, you will need a 4x4. We rented a great Jeep buggy from Benny at Red Tiger Jeep Rental, and that car managed all the adventurous roads perfectly (Benny also met us at the airport and the car rental was also very smooth and hassle-free). All in all a lovely well-managed rental property. We hope to return soon!

Breathtaking view!

The house is in a beautiful mountainside area outside of Castries, overlooking the Caribbean Sea with magnificent views from every room. We sat outside in the comfortable furniture enjoying the view of Martinique, Pigeon Island, and all the ships from the enormous covered patio area daily, probably spending more time outside the house than inside. We definitely recommend using Christine, her house manager, for transportation to the house from the airport, as it would be very difficult to navigate the roads without her the first time. She is also a wealth of information about the island! Once we arrived to the house, our 4x4 rental was waiting for us. Christine made sure we could drive on the left side of the road, find our way home, gave us phone numbers to reach her, and left us to enjoy the gorgeous house with a Piton (local, delicious beer) to start off our vacation! We enjoyed the island tremendously, and all it has to offer. Serena's house is centrally located to all the attractions of the islands! The house does not have air conditioning, but there is usually a breeze flowing thru the open doors and there are ceiling fans in all the rooms. The ONLY downside for us was the mosquitoes, and we used the nets & insect repellent nightly to keep them away. We found the standing fan blowing helped to keep them away as well. We would recommend this beautiful rental house to anyone with a sense of adventure, who enjoys a quiet & peaceful environment away from all the noise of big resorts!
