This was a favorite hotel of our trip. Great location an easy walk from the train station. Super staff with great restaurant suggestions. Super nice amenities and a spacious and quiet room. The elevator is from 1901 and runs beautifully. Very nice breakfast on offer. Highly recommended.

I'm traveling to Italian 6 cities in three weeks and the Melià has been an absolute highlight. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The room was perfect and we had a lovely balcony overlooking Genoa. It was conveniently located, so we could walk to the Piazza (and opera house!), Antico Port, shopping areas and we were 2 minutes from the church where Christopher Columbus was baptized. HIGHLY RECOMMEND that property for your stay in Genoa, one of Italy's underrated gems.

The staff were helpful
The bath tub was an accident waiting to happen. There were no guard rails in our bath and we nearly fell each time we took a shower
The bath is lovely, an old style but dangerous
