The property sleeps 10\. A 4 bedroom (all with aircon), 3 bathroom house with private pool that is set within 1/3rd of an acre overlooking the village of Castel Frentano. 15 minutes from the unspoilt Adriatic Sea and 45 minutes from Roman ski resorts. This house has been totally renovated to the highest standard with all modern facilities including aircon & wifi internet access. The pool was used all the time and everything was thought through and catered for and the villa was comfy and in immaculate condition. We enjoyed lazy days by the pool during the hot daytimes. The Villa is well situated for visiting typical Abruzzo villages and the Trabocchi coast. The villa has everything you need for your holiday and was ample big enough for 6 adults and 3 children. The sunsets from the balcony were beautiful! Having aircon in the bedrooms was such a great addition during the hot evenings. Tony’s instructions and communication throughout the whole process was fantastic, so helpful! Antonio checked in on us and made sure we had all that we needed. Tina, the cleaner, gave us lots of recommendations for places to visit and places to eat! Séjour de 7 nuits en juin 2021 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Riccardo D., Amsterdam 30 oct. 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### Ideaal vakantiehuis voor 2 gezinnen Verscholen tussen de bergen en het strand ligt dit mooie vakantiehuis in de regio Abruzzo. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en biedt voldoende plaats voor 2 gezinnen met kinderen. De sleutelhouder is zeer attent en zorgt ervoor dat het de gasten aan niets ontbreekt. Het huis is sfeervol ingericht en beschikt over een afgesloten tuin met veel privacy. Castel Frentano ligt ideaal als uitgangspunt om de Abruzzo te verkennen, Lanciano is als stad dichtbij met ruime voorzieningen om te winkelen en boodschappen te doen. Het contact met de eigenaar verloopt perfect, hij verstrekt veel en goede informatie over het huis en de omgeving. ##### Riccardo D. Séjour de 7 nuits en octobre 2019 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Valentina S. 22 sept. 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### Perfekter Familienurlaub Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub in Castel Frentano. Das Haus war sauber und alles hat reibungslos funktioniert. Es ist alles Vorhanden um sich selber zu versorgen. Wir haben jeden Abend für uns gekocht und die Zeit zusammen genossen. Der einzige Nachteil waren die Mücken. Aber das tat unserer Stimmung keinen Abbruch. Der Pool und der Garten sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Und ideal für Familien mit Kindern. Da wir zwei kleine Kinder dabei hatten waren wir nicht auf großer Erkundungstour jedoch ist das Dorf und das Meer (Casalbordino, ca. 30 Km vom Haus entfernt, in Richtung Vasto) sehr schön. Es gibt auch ein Einkaufszentrum in Lanciano( ca. 8 km von Castel Frentano entfernt) das haben wir genutzt als es schlecht Wetter war. Der Kontakt lief immer Reibungslos ab. Alle haben sich bemüht dass alles für uns gepasst hat. Allen voran der Abend an dem Antonio für uns gekocht hat. Nehmt das Angebot an, ihr werdet es nicht bereuen. Er hat uns auch zur Seite gestanden wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben oder fragen hatten. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 ##### Valentina S. The house pool and outdoor spaces were fantastic and it was a nice walk into town. The view from the upstairs balcony was amazing and Antonio was very helpful. We loved the amazing villages of Abruzzo and the fact that it wasn’t over run with tourists. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely week. ##### cindy s. Séjour de 7 nuits en septembre 2019 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Lucy P. 25 août 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### Great family venue Stayed this summer with my sister, two families consisting of 4 adults and 6 children aged between 16 and 7 and the house accomodated us easily. The property was spacious and clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Highlight of the holiday was the pool which was in almost constant use hosting many games of water polo and the likes, very good for the younger children who were not strong swimmers as they could still take part in the shallower end of the pool. We were blessed with incredible weather and were very thankful of the air con! Most of our time was spent poolside but we also ventured to the beach Casalbordino, on the first visit the sea was calm, warm and clear and we spent hours in the water swimming and around the rocks watching small fish, the second visit found the sea much rougher and we all had fun in the waves. Local Oasi supermarket in Lanciano was great for supplies and gelato, the staff were very friendly and spoke fantastic English. We stumbled across a local festival in Pretoro in which the hill top village is lit up at night and street food and goods are sold along the winding roads which twist up through the town, it was a very honest look at modern Italy celebrating its old traditions, Thoroughly enjoyed out trip. ##### Lucy P. ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Joakim A., Sweden 18 juill. 2018 #### Fantastic house in a fantastic relaxing environment We were two families with four adults and four children betweeen 6-9 years old. Had a fantastic time at the house, it never felt small, all necessary equipment is there, and it has a very nice standard to it. The knifes in the kitchen would need some sharpening though :) We enjoyed every moment of the house, the soroundings and the pool of course. Under one hour drive takes you to really nice beaches and mountains. You can do running from the house down in the valleys between all the grape plantations. Stunning views. Séjour de 7 nuits en juillet 2018 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Gertrud J. 4 juill. 2018 #### A beautiful and well equipped house in Abruzzo We all (seven persons) had a really nice week in Casa Trastulli in the village Castel Frentano. The house was so nice with its four bedrooms with great views, three bathrooms and the well equipped kitchen and dining-room The garden and the swimminpool were perfekt for us. We spent most of the evenings at the house looking at the sunset and often had our dinner at the terrace or the balcony. All of us liked Castel Frentano. We went to the beaches and the small villages by the sea almost every day (about half an hour to drive). We also made a trip to the mountains (Passo Lanciano) and to the beautiful old towns Guardiagrele and Lanciano. We had a lot of help of the notes, books and maps left in the house. Séjour de 7 nuits en juin 2018 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Deborah B. 10 oct. 2017 #### A wonderful taste of Italian life Our stay gave us a wonderful taste of Italian life and a chance to truly unwind. The villa was clean, comfortable and authentically furnished with all the home comforts. With only three people we were spoilt for space and so this house would be ideal for larger groups and families too. Outside you have a large terrace with a striking view over to the small village of Castel Frentano, just a short walk away, and the perfect place to enjoy breakfast in the sun or the local vino in the evenings. We spent most of our time outside making use of the large garden, pool and a BBQ. The owners have clearly spent a lot of time in the area and surrounding villages as they passed on a wealth of local knowledge. With their recommendations we found some real gems, particularly the seafood restaurants that are less than 20 minutes away. The local host Antonio met us with a warm welcome and Italian hamper, and was eager to go the extra mile for anything we needed. But the slower pace of Italian life suited us fine. Make sure you try the Bocconotto pastries in the local bakery Bottega, they're famous for a reason! Overall our stay was enjoyable and hassle-free, and we would highly recommend to others visiting the Adriatic coast. We just wished we'd had longer! ##### Deborah B. Séjour de 7 nuits en septembre 2017 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Bryan D., Crowborough 2 oct. 2017 #### Large Comfortable Villa with Superb views We stayed here for a week in September. The villa is huge and sleeps up to ten. It is well equipped and comfortable. The view from the upper terrace towards Castel Frentano is superb, particularly at night. Castel Frentano itself is disappointing as it is very run down and neglected and without much in the way of restaurants. Nearby Lanciano however is a delight, particularly at night. A little further away Guardiagrele is another delightful hill town and both of these towns have good restaurants. The reason for the poor rating is that the swimming pool is not fit for purpose. It is only 8 metres long. We knew that but what I could not have guessed it that it is a paddling pool with a deep end! The shallow end of about one third the total length is barely two feet deep. Any attempt to swim a length will give you grazed knees, arms and feet! It is OK for kids to paddle in but even for them it would be much safer without the seven foot deep, deep end. The villa is on what seems like a quiet road during the day but there is a rush hour every morning at 5.00 am until 7.00 am. OK I guess if you use the air-con or open windows on the garden side. Unfortunately the alarm system which the owner recommends being on at night includes the garden side upstairs windows. We had a problem with a very noisy pool pump but to be fair the owner got that fixed immediately and we were able to enjoy the peace of the garden again. Last thought is general to the area. It is real, traditional Italy with very pretty hilltop towns and amazingly good restaurants. Be aware that in September many of these restaurants shut unpredictably and we spent many hours searching the internet for a restaurant we could book each night. Very often these were a long drive away down the appallingly broken local roads. Even finding the restaurants was difficult as sat-nav and phone maps sometime failed to get us there. When you are right outside it may still be difficult to find because, in the old towns, many restaurants have just a single door onto the street. It is usually well worth the effort though as the food is amazing. The flip side to this is that there are miles and miles of pristine, empty beaches in September because the lidos just pack up and take away almost all of the umbrellas and sun loungers - Heaven! ##### Bryan D. Séjour de 7 nuits en septembre 2017 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Aby M. 3 sept. 2017 #### A special luxurious Family home What a special place. Beautifully kept inside and out. We had a lovely relaxing 2 weeks at Casa Trastulli after spending a few days in Rome. The facilities were excellent. The pool got cleaned, the grass got cut, the beds got changed and the villa cleaned top to bottom. A nice touch!. Tony was extremely helpful highlighted by the welcome pack of information that covered everything to do with the property and great examples of the best beaches, restaurants and days out in the area. Perfect for a family holiday, the pool is a great size, you can either dive in at one end, over 6ft deep or an easy step entry at the shallow end for little & old ones. We played Water polo daily. The two first floor spacious air-conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and extremely comfortable beds were ideal for the two sets of parents. The Second floor 2 bedrooms have 3 single beds perfect for the 5 kids in our party. Antonio, the local host is not only a fountain of knowledge but a wonderful cook and on hand to help. We enjoyed exploring the local area, with stunning views as you drive around this rural picturesque region of Italy. Plenty of stunning places to visit. Meals and game nights on the upstairs balcony with the views of Castel Frentano as your backdrop were a highlight for us all. And our pool party BBQ.
