"I stayed at Cottage #2 in Shingletown Bigfoot Camping. It was a quaint, quiet, and cozy stay. If you’re looking for 5-star hotel conditions, this isn’t the place for you (yes, the old wood floors do squeak a bit!). But if what you want is a peaceful, inviting, and restful getaway, this little cottage might be just right. "We visited for 4 days and stayed a 5th day so we could get another day of skiing in. We were comfortable, the place was heated, warm, cozy and away from everything which is what we wanted. There’s a store in town (Reeds) where you can grab groceries, Redding is a half hour away, Shasta 1.5 hours. Peace, quiet, Serenity, good for the kids to run around. Plenty of firewood for the old school stove. Beds cozy. Office nearby. Hottub wasn’t overchlorinated which was nice. They should make it lighter...

"It is a beautiful property. We stayed in the little trailer, glamp cottage and it was so cute. Also enjoyed the private hot tub provided. We did some wine tasting, a flight of white and a flight of reds and enjoyed their fabulous cork and fork dinner. The location is beautiful. My travelling companion said if she didn’t know better she would think she was in Switzerland."
