We have a very detail-oriented housekeeping staff. Please see what previous travelers have said about this subject in our reviews. Regarding sustainability, we utilize eco-friendly LED lighting in our cabin. This non-smoking, pet free cabin, which sleeps eight, is nestled in the woods of Deerfield Resort surrounding beautiful Lake Norris. Amenities include Deerfield Cove Marina a few minutes away, a championship golf course in your backyard, airstrip, swimming pool, tennis court, sand volleyball court and a children's play area. Enjoy watching the deer walk through your yard while sitting on either the spacious upper or lower deck. After a full day of fun in the sun including boating, water skiing, tubing, jet skiing, or fishing, come home to a relaxing cozy cabin atmosphere including 1200 sq ft of upper and lower decking, patio furniture, stainless steel grill, ample parking with long driveway and additional parking area above cabin, full kitchen, two full baths, video game table featuring 60 classic arcade games, and electronic pinball machine. Socialize with friends and family while preparing a full meal in the open concept fully equipped modern kitchen, which features stainless steel refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher, and granite counter tops. At the end of your day, relax in the large jetted tub located in the upstairs bathroom. Just like a hotel, towels, washcloths and bedding are provided for your convenience. Afterwards, enjoy a good night's rest snuggled in luxurious cotton bedding. A full laundry room is available to you including washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. BOAT RENTALS: Springs Dock Marina is closest to Deerfield Resort and offers pontoon, ski boat, fishing boat and jet ski rentals. Marinas are open seasonally, usually opening mid May and closing in September following Labor Day. Springs Dock usually offers gasoline in the spring and fall seasons. COVERED BOAT SLIP: Cabin rental includes a 10x30 ft covered boat slip with power at Deerfield Cove Marina ($25.00 launch fee issued from Deerfield Cove Marina when entering with boat). FIRE PIT: Spacious stone fire pit (wood not included). GOLFING: The Greens at Deerfield offers a 6800-yard championship course designed by Bobby Clampett. A driving range and practice greens are also available. The club house offers a full service pro shop and restaurant. RESTAURANTS: Springs Dock, Shanghai, and Sequoyah Marinas, and the Tiki Bar of Deerfield Cove Marina all have good food. Deerside Market & Deli, just outside the gate, serves hot food (menu on fridge). Chapman Hill Winery is also located just outside the gate. SECURITY CAMERA: For additional security, there is one security camera located on the back of the cabin which is directed down the driveway. This is the only security camera on the premises. NOTE: The marinas surrounding Norris Lake are open seasonally, usually between mid May and Labor Day in September. There are restaurants and a Wal-mart located just off the exit from I-75\. It was easy to communicate with the hosts. Everything was clean and comfortable. It felt very homely. The place is exactly as advertised and offers some very nice views of the leaves changing colors in the fall. We played a very challenging round of golf at course right up the road on Friday and then hung out and watched college football while grilling with a fire all of Saturday. We rent a boat and utilize the boat slip that comes with the rental. So convenient. The rental is always in great condition. We enjoy the deck every morning. This is a fantastic place if you're wanting to get away. We enjoy the lake and also the pool that comes as part of the amenities. We look forward to planning our trip every year. Our teens shared the downstairs and had their own space while we enjoyed the king bed and lovely wrap around deck each morning for coffee. We brought our wakeboard boat so, the boat slip at the marina was a huge asset and one of the reasons we chose this beautiful place! Just a quick 3 min drive to the marina. Clean, welcoming, and wonderful to come back to after a full day on the water. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Look no further-book it. ##### Jason F. The house is big and full of all the details you like in your own home. There is a list of items the host suggests you bring, I’d add a lighter for the fire pit, coffee pods or coffee grounds, and scissors. It was really peaceful and we loved seeing the deer and woodchuck run through the yard. We walked the area daily. Talk about a workout. Definitely would stay there again. ##### Cher B. This is our 4th year in a row staying at this home. It's always very clean, and we love taking advantage of the boat slip. It's located very close to the Deerfield Marina which makes it convenient to be on the lake in no time. This home is also very close to the winery, Tiki Bar and Spring docks where we rent our boat for the week. The owners are very responsive and easy to communicate. It truly is a piece of paradise nestled in the trees. Our seven year old granddaughter was convinced we were staying in a tree house. ❤️ We loved that the house included a boat slip and it was only a short three minute drive to the marina. While we were a little apprehensive, as this was our first time, not staying lakefront, we were not disappointed. We will gladly choose to stay here again. We loved the huge windows that had a beautiful view of the lake and trees. One of my favorite parts of the day was relaxing on the top deck with a cozy cup of coffee enjoying the lake view. The beds, pillows, and living room furniture were all very comfortable which is a huge plus! Also being able to relax in the jacuzzi tub after a day of hiking was a wonderful bonus. The cabin was decorated beautifully for Christmas which made it feel more like home for the holidays. We all enjoyed making s’mores and keeping warm by the beautiful fire pit, and the kids had fun playing the arcade game system.
