'Belo Mar' is a beautiful 3 storey detached villa (floor with two car garage; first floor with 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry and storage room; second floor with 2 bedrooms and 2 toilets).

4 bedrooms: 2 king-size suites, 1 double room and 1 twin room

4 bathrooms: 2 with shower and shower, 1 with bath, 1 with shower and 1 with a hydromassage shower cabin

La villa est d'un grand confort, spacieuse d une propreté irreprochable avec une vue incroyable sur l'océan. Très bien située elle permet d'accéder facilement aux de randonnées ou attractions de l île côté ouest. Nous remercions Hugo qui nous a attendu pour nous accueillir en pleine nuit et qui avait prévu quelques courses pour une collation et le petit déjeuner. Merci également pour sa disponibilité, ses conseils et sa souplesse pour l'horaire de départ. La météo très favorable nous a permis de bien profiter des extérieurs piscine et barbecue. Avec cette vue incroyable je me répète il a été difficile de quitter la villa.

10 out of 10, the views of the sea and the hills outstanding, the villa, loads of space storage, easy to live in, got everything you need and more, The pool is bigger than it looks from the photos. Spent most evenings sitting outside, had a few BBQs and ate out other nights, only 5 mins drive to restaurants and sea. Dalila looked after all requests very efficiently. We will be back!

Sehr schön, sehr großzügiges Haus in toller Lage.Für nervöse Deutsche etwas späte Check in Daten um 23.00 Uhr, 15 Stunden vor der Ankunft.Das Bett im unteren Masterbedroom quietscht laut, wenn man sich bewegt.Ansonsten war alles perfekt. Sehr netter Kontakt.

Schöne Sonnenuntergänge

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Sauberkeit 1a! Grosszügige Räumlichkeiten und nahe eigentlich zu allem. Das Haus liegt in einem Quartier mit mehreren Vermietern und hat erst ab 11.30 (Frühjahr und Herbst) eine Besonnung.Man ist am Pool ungestört, weil keine Einsicht.

The View

Hugo and his team are very welcoming and helpful before and on arrival. The view is wonderful at all times of the day and the accommodation perfect for our party of seven. We hired cars for the duration, a must to enjoy what Madeira has to offer. We very much enjoyed the local village and various spots along this southern coast line. Calheta beach offers an array of restaurants and a supermarket close by. A very chilled and enjoyable holiday on this sunny side of the island.

Absolute perfection

We stayed at Hugo and Dalilia's place for a week in March. The pictures in the listing looked nice but they don't do justice to this magnificent property. The view is absolutely breathtaking. We loved hanging out by the pool and watching the sunset each evening. The house itself is huge and well designed. We traveled with our 22 and 14 year old sons. We had our own space and plenty of room to relax. We cooked outside and watched the sunset on our last evening. Everything you need is nearby. Hugo and Dalila were very responsive to questions we had throughout our stay. We travel a lot and have stayed at many VRBOs through the years. This was hands-down the nicest place we have stayed in. It was also very reasonably priced. If you are considering staying here, just do it. You will be impressed like we were.

Sweeping ocean view with great hosts

There's a panoramic ocean view out from the pool that offers a sweeping look down to the water from almost every room in the house. It's spacious and impeccably maintained with lots of nice touches like a well equipped kitchen and a balcony out from the two 2nd floor bedrooms, and great woodwork including a walk-in bedroom closet on the first floor. Off the pool is a covered seating/dining area with a grilling pit, sink, and gas hobs to cook a complete meal poolside. Plenty of off-street parking for two cars between the garage and gated parking area. Dalila and Hugo are great hands-on hosts, helpful, caring and responsive with smart local restaurant & grocery recommendations. Note for winter visitors-- looks like plenty of air-conditioning but the house is not heated so bring your warm pajamas. Great hosts and a great property, definitely a winner.

We need more words to relay perfection!

The property is a dream. You will want for nothing. It is beautifully built and maintained. The hosts, Hugo and Dalila, personally welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around the villa. Hugo planned ahead and gave us a warm send off when we reluctantly had to leave. Hugo also arranged a driver for us, Mario, who knew the island like the back of his hand. Thank you for the wonderful welcome basket! All the fruits were yummy. The sweet Madeira bananas were quite a hit. If we were a more combative family, we might have had to resorted to arm wrestling for bananas! Those reading this review, if you are toggling between places to stay, pick this one-you will be glad you did.

Super luxury with fantastic views

We knew the property was bigger than we really needed, but we were swayed by the pool and view from the photos on Vrbo. What I was not ready for was just how spacious and well appointed the villa is. It is truly huge and finished to a very high standard throughout. The property is also extremely light and airy with a lot of glass and doors to let you appreciate the wonderful sea view to the South of the island. It is also not overlooked at all, so you had a real sense of privacy when using the garden and pool. Hugo the property manager was an excellent host, welcoming us and meeting to say goodbye as well as providing local information and notifications of when he would be around the maintain the pool and villa. I would certainly recommend the villa to anyone looking to visit the very special island of Madeira.
