Oltrarno5 nights5.0 star property8.8/10 - Excellent (449 reviews)"The property was lovely. A former 15th(?) century monastery located on a hilltop overlooking parts of Florence. Surrounded by olive and fruit trees, and gardens. It's past the Roman gate, about a 30 euro cab ride from the center of town. Though they didn't tell us until we asked, there's a shuttle that will take you down the hill to the Roman Gate where taxis and busses can be found. We arrived just after the hotel restaurant had closed for the afternoon by a minute. They were kind/professional..."Reviewed November 6, 2026Roundtrip • Toronto (YYZ) - Florence (FLR)YYZ - FCO • 2 stops FCO - YYZ • 1 stopCA $3,248CA $2,492found 1 day agoper traveller - Bernini Palace

"Outdated. Buffet looks grand but with few real foods."
"The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. There were barely any sheets on the bed so I was cold at night. The door to the bathroom is glass so going to the bathroom at night and turning on the light means your partner can be woken up by the light. Poor design. The room was quite small. The best thing about the room was that the window opened all the way for fresh air during the morning and afternoon if you wanted."
"NO TIENE AIRE ACONDICIONADO, hace calor el aire esta de adorno, porque no lo dejan prender . Hay mucho ruido alrededor"
"David was ber welcoming and helpful. He arranged transport for us next day, and treated us like friends. So refreshing! The location was the ideal proximity for the cruise port terminal. Would stay there again."

"Great place! Simple, clean, convenient."
"Street Noise was amazing…all night sounds of cars, motorcycles, and trucks. Nice old hotel but windows did nothing to stop the traffic noise. Being so close to the port was probably not a great idea."
"It was the perfect stay for me. I had trouble getting there because my plane was diverted to Verona. That resulted in a four-hour bus ride to Pisa. I didn't get to the hotel until around 1 a.m. The staff graciously took care of me at this late hour. That was meaningful because I was so tired, I couldn't think straight. The accommodations and breakfast were excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel once again."
