The beach area offers a spectacular view of Butternut Lake and a lakeside dock to enjoy fishing. There are picnic tables and a firepit down by the beach to enjoy roasting marshmallows and having family gatherings. Butternut Lake is 1,006 acres in size and has a maximum depth of 32 feet. The boats were disappointing- not well maintained- we didn’t feel confident taking them on the lake. The cabin was very basic- “rustic”- as described, but the bare necessities were there.
